You need to go into Kodi, then onto the Sportsmania Add On & Match Day, Calendar etc come up as options within the Sportsmania menu .

Hi any idea when sporsmaina will be taking new subscriptions? I've been using a VPN and must say watching the premier league through sportsmanina on this has been fantastic! Every game full HD with now lag or buffering.

Just had a freeze screen with a large blue Sky Sports logo on it, whilst watching Man City v Liverpool. Is that sky putting the blocks on? Just switched and all well.

Got first 15 minutes or so of City v Liverpool that stream cut out and none of them will now load.

Takes about 2 minutes to load then get the message "One or more items failed to play. Check the log for more information about this message".

Any ideas how to get round this?

Not an expert but suggest you go to mtce icon and clear cache and refresh channels, then try again. If using Bob Change country.

If not on sportsmania, just try again for a link.

Cheers Ian McL, done the clear cache and refresh channels and still no luck. Happens every Saturday around this time, all channels just stop working then come Sunday morning they're all working again.

I'm beginning to wonder if it's something to do with the relationship between Kodi and
Sportsmania.

I can't get anything to stream from Sportsmania (movies etc are fine via Covenant, Exodus etc) but
I have been able to stream City vs Liverpool via Sportsmania's website, despite the advice at the top of
the page with instructions to watch via Kodi ! !

It's all very confusing and indeed frustrating.

My guess is you haven't updated the app.

Not an issue on my stream watching the game in full HD, lag free. Looks like a NBCSN feed.

I've tried to update the app only to be told that I have the latest version.

The app is Kodi.
Version 17.4 is the latest one.
Beware, some users have reported serious problems after updating.
Sports Mania is the add on

I don't use Sportsmania myself so have not been keeping upto date on their issues, but somebody I know uses SportNation via the firestick that I set up for him (they are not "tech savvy" so I'm their first point of call)

Their sub expired last week whilst on holiday and have been able to "renew" using the code but not able to see the football or the cricket

Might be worth asking on their forum for support as I didn't need a vpn for today's stream.

Unfortunately, I also have Kodi v 17.4 - maybe that is the issue. Might download an earlier version
and see if that solves anything, not least my sanity.

No streaming the content in your own home is not even illegal. Showing it publicly would be and the second you download content rather than stream you are breaking the law. The people who could get jail time if caught are those who make the illegal streams available and share them for us all to view

Just read today we can be jailed for illegally streaming Premier League football, don't shoot the messenger mate that's what I read today, my stream had a banner across the bottom of the screen today in the City v Liverpool game saying only for viewing in the USA illegal everywhere else

Nope whilst they might try to change or adapt laws in the future currently is def not illegal. I think the grey area that you might have read about is around the selling of Kodi boxes with pre-loaded add-ons. But ive no problem streaming films and sport just like im fine to stream music from sites such as You Tube

The word Bob in my answer was a predictive text change. I typed VPN. You can now get IPVanish via Amazon for free. Choose 'best' and you usually get Netherlands or Denmark. Although there may be some hiccups, not like being a UK location.

The rules changed a few months back, it is against the law to watch illegal streams now.

I dont think they have but happy to be wrong so please post a link to where I can have a look at this. Even if it is like with music streaming its a one in a million you'll get prosecuted so i'll take my chances

Has anyone got any good quality alternatives? I'm seriously losing patience with these guys. Unwatchable during the week. Weekends arnt as bad.

Sent the code to my brother in law as he is having difficulty renewing. He has come back with "where do I input it?". My sub is up to date, so I can't see anything. If you have a certain set-up it seems Sportsnania can still work but I've given up - the temporary set back that they said would be fixed in a month hasn't been solved 3 months later

Don't think they're intentionally ripping people off just that they can't solve their tech issues
