I thought the acting was superb. It was a bit different to the original in terms of what was said and when. More humour thrown in, which I think went down well and it was a nice mix. It was certainly more gory than the original!

I think Tim Curry was maybe the better of the two clowns. I just think that was too difficult to try and match. But Bill Skasgard still did an excellent job and the obvious upgrade of special effects made it look good, too.

And the ending to this Part 1 was better than the original. All in all - definitely recommended.

Watched it last night in a packed IMAX cinema over Pontefract way.

An all-around great film, I thought. Not just the horror beats - which were incredible - the acting, the comedy, everything was really spot on.

The bathroom scene, the whole first sequence in the house and...that f*cking Projector scene...were real standouts.

Loved it.

Going to see this tonight so I'll post a verdict later when I get back. Heard very good things.

Yep, Richard Bachman. A couple of cracking stories under this pseudonym.
Thinner (creepy as hell) and The Running Man.

Just got back from Blackburn Vue Cinema. It was pretty much full.

The film is excellent, it's rare that you get something that covers so many genres. It's funny, jumpy and has a bit of romance. I'd recommend it. Solid 8/10.

Just watched it. Thought it was excellent. Usually after you've read a book the film is often a let down. This wasn't.

Went to see IT last night (the film, not ImplodingTurtle). Was decent enough but was hoping it would be a little bit scarier. There wasn't one moment where people jumped out of their seats. Mind you, I've not seen the original so I'll have to watch that and make a comparison. Was also about half an hour too long, in my opinion.

I also watched it last night and was pretty disappointed. It was entertaining enough but lacked suspense and was generally just a bit stupid. Good acting from the kids though.
