Merrie England - Great Harwood

Post by ayrshireclaret83 » Sun Sep 10, 2017 8:40 am

I posted on another thread about when my dad used to own this pub and the bus that used to leave from there. I left to come back to Scotland in 1999 and was wondering if anyone here remembers the bus.

I see the pub is no longer there it's a shame I had so many good memories there

Yes, the pub has been long gone. Think the Harwood Clarets use the Plough now.

Was on the corner of St. Huberts Road and Clayton St.

Not a bad old pub in its time.

I'm sure when I played for the Junior Clarets in my teens that we used to play a team named Merrie England?
