Would you rather ...... be .....
8th in the Premier League watching dullard football that Sam Allardyce would be embarrassed to be associated with?
or
Near the top of League 1 or near the Championship playoffs playing exciting all action Owen Coyle/Jimmy Mullen style football?

Nothing more.
It provided cool air enough to keep the bed cold but it didn't cool the room. I could have put a bigger fan on it which would have increased the power but lessened the time it was effective for. It gave me good nights sleep. I was the only one capable of a good night's sleep in the height of summer.
My mates were jealous and thought it was fantastic but I was secretly a little disappointed in it.
Most disappointingly it was very, very heavy when loaded up with it which meant the yoghurt pots I stuck to it to make it look like a dalek got crushed everytime I picked it up. So aesthetically it wasn't as fun as I'd hoped.
I'd give it the following rating:
Aesthetics: 2/10
Cooling ability: 6/10
Overall rating: 5/10

Re: Would you rather?
In the PL everytime.
I doubt Sam would be embarrassed by any style of football that gets his teams points.

Re: Would you rather?
I think you're missing a bigger picture ChaCha.
The current situation - whatever you perceive the 'brand' of football to be - is somewhat a means to an end. The teams that have survived and maintained their long term PL status have largely done so by becoming hard to beat first and foremost. They've then built year on year to become more 'pleasing on the eye' as they've made more money and could attract a better quality and price of footballer. We need money to attract the better players and we need to not look like a perennial relegation battler in order to be more appealing.
If we finish 8th this year I won't give a toss how we've achieved it - it will be the next (huge) step on the path to being a permanent PL fixture.
Baby steps...

Re: Would you rather?
As bad as Saturday's match was, I've seen much worse following Burnley in the third and fourth divisions, especially when we were sliding down the pyramid, and then in the doldrums bumping along the bottom.

If I had a hobby/past time that I really thought was dull, unexciting and a real bore......I would just go do something else!
Sounds to me that you are not enjoying it....if so why would you waste money on something you don't enjoy?

Horses for courses depending on the type of player we can attract.
Look at Palace, bags of flair and speed - nil points
I'm sure their fans would swap places with us in a heartbeat

Yes lets ask for a double relegation and appoint Owen Coyle, it's a no brainer.BigChaCha wrote:Would you rather ...... be .....
