Boxing Day v Utd & the Ashes test in Melbourne.

Post by RammyClaret61 » Fri Sep 29, 2017 5:15 am

Boxing Day in Melbourne. Are any Clarets traveling for the Ashes downunder this year. We would be pleased to accomodate you for the Manchester Utd fixture in our very own pub.
After a days cricket at the "G" for the Ashes Test. Why not extend your evening by following the Clarets for the Boxing Day clash v Manchester United. Numbers need to be known for this fixture. If enough numbers, we can organise Curry for later in the evening for those that miss dinner after the cricket. Also please note kick off time still to be confirmed, currently 2am (27th Dec) If you're traveling from the UK for the cricket. Please note, our favourite pub the Sherlock is just around the corner from Englands Barmy Army HQ, the Turf Hotel. Please let us know if you're interested. UTC.

You can count me in (and my united supporting father in law, if that’s allowed). I’m not on Facebook though will that be an issue?

I'm still trying to get down for the Boxing Day test. Don't think it will beat my last time in 2011. Australia 98 all out, England 150 odd for 0, on the first day! Back then, Blackburn was in the Prem, Bolton 50 years in front of us etc etc.

Me and a mate off to The Gabba for the first test, staying a couple of weeks then flying home, so not there at Christmas unfortunately. Missing the Arsenal home game and B/mouth away so hoping to get a good pub to watch.
