He is excellent at reading the game. It isn't a coincidence that he always seems to be in the right place. In fact, I am sure sometimes he knows where the ball is going before the opposing player decides where to put it.

I thought he'd take a season to bed in and settle at this level but would then be excellent. Boy was I wrong. He's excellent already.

Need another lad on the conveyor belt now, Tarks is guaranteed for bigger things.

In fairness apart from those with the time to see the reserve games or watch training sessions did we really see enough to know he was this good. And with Keanes preformances and level head getting better and better last season they were big boots to fill , but he's doing a wonderful job.

Now lets all be humble and enjoy being 6th in the Prem.

I am now worried we need a replacement for Tarks . Kevin Long ? ( here we go again )

Let us not get carried away, he has done very well but he has been up against impotent Everton, Huddersfield and Palace who are at the bottom of goals and chances. West Brom didn’t really threaten either yet the error by Tarks cost us 3 points. Chelsea had 9 men and Tottenham had tons of chances and it could have been 4-0.

The media hype blocks and clearances but this is the Dyche style, ever since Shackell have we been top in those stats.

He has done all that could be expected of him - so far. The harder challenges are yet to come.

Chelsea away, Liverpool away, Tottenham away? Which matches would you say will be the harder ones?

How could the Spurs game have been 4-0 when we scored a goal?

And what about Liverpool? We've had the hardest away start of any team in the PL.

He was immense on Sunday, didn't put a foot wrong. I had (and to some degree still have) two reservations: his lack of pace and his occasional tendency to switch off and lose his man / make silly mistakes. He's not going to get any faster so we'll need to accommodate that as a team. The concentration issue has shown up a couple of times this season but will hopefully fade with regular games and experience at this level. If it does he will be a very decent Premier League defender.

I hoped Tarkowski would be good enough, and at the end of last season believed he would.
However towards the end of summer I was panicking at not signing another CH as I didn't actually know he would be.
Truth is, he IS good enough... though would still have been nice to get another on board, but now I want the next Tarkowski, not the next Keane

Be careful with honest comments like this . You have admitted you were worried about Keanes departure and wether Tarks would be up to the same standard. The anti debate brigade will be onto you , doom mongerer will be scribed on your forehead and season ticket put through the shredder. Glory hunter will be heckled at you and shunned you shall be.

Do not resist the flow of thought follow the shoal to the blessed waters. Try not to veer toward the bank with mindless thoughts against the will of others.

Can we not just enjoy being 6th and forgive anybody who was worried about losing Keane ( im in that group ).All those looking to stir up a storm in a teacup and a rift between who had the stronger faith in Dyches judgment and who dared to doubt. I had a few passing comments in footy conversations and i've been happily proved wrong.
But for people to jump on a pedestal after such a great win against everton, they must have had some real arguments over Tarks quality (fights possibly ?) . To be that bothered to condemn others who were unsure instead of coming together and saying "wow look at how the teams gelled this season"look how happy we all are.

Dyche is now officially a religion in Burnley and this test of faith stuff is great.

Id be more worried about the moaning shoits who grumbled at the whistle against Hudds. Now they should be put in suspended in cages for one month outside the corners of the ground, starting after the international break.
