Ticket office
There have been occasions when the ticket office have had some stick on this board, but I want to thank them for today.
Being the absolute goon, that I can be at times, I arrived at the ground with last year's season ticket. Once the turnstile operator informed me my ticket wasn't valid I went straight to the ticket office who without fuss printed me off a ticket for yesterday's game.
So thanks to them and I will email the ticket office to say the same.

Re: Ticket office
Yes well I am glad you had a good Experience.
For the Huddersfield game I got to the turnstile to be told my season ticket had been cancelled.
Went to see a supervisor who checked it and it was fine with her machine. Checked it again at the turnstile which said it had been cancelled.
I got to the ticket office to be told l had requested a reprinted card at 12:10 that day, I calmly informed them I certainly had not had my ticket reprinted.
I rang my friend who was on the ground to see if there was anyone in my seat, which there wasn't.
At that point a lad walked up saying he had the wrong ticket for the wrong stand.
I asked him what time got his ticket reprinted and he said just after 12.
So pray tell me how the ticket office can print out a season ticket for my seat for a person asking for a new one in the Jimmy Mac when mine is in James Hargreaves.
So much for name address and clarets number.
I missed the first ten minutes of the game and had to make special journey to pick up a new season ticket this week.
To say how angry I was I thought I did exceptionally well to keep my calm that match day.

Sounds like you were trying to pull a fast one and when you got caught out your pal had to come back with the ticket and some lame excuse about the wrong standLowbankclaret wrote:Yes well I am glad you had a good Experience.

Not sure how you work that out.Devils_Advocate wrote:Sounds like you were trying to pull a fast one and when you got caught out your pal had to come back with the ticket and some lame excuse about the wrong stand
The lad who walked up to the ticket I knew him as he used to play for the step lads footy team, and works for a supplier to my company and I have seen him onsite. I have no idea what he is called.
He apparently had lost his season ticket in the JM and had gone to get it reprinted at 12.10 that day and they gave him my season seat as a one day paper ticket and a new plastic ticket for the rest of the season.
What exactly do you think that achieves.
You appear to have some devious plans in your head.
All I can say is if you go get a card reprinted they cancel your current card immediately, so you achieve nothing.
So really you are barking up the wrong tree there

Re: Ticket office
I got a fixed penalty parking ticket, I know, I know my own fault, anyway I took it to the ticket office at the Turf to pay it but they didn't want to know, saying it was nothing to do with them, even giggling at me.
Re: Ticket office
Sorry but don't understand why the lad who had been given (obviously in error) a replacement ticket but for the wrong stand, didn't realise that was the case and go back to the Ticket Office before he used it to enter the ground??? Surely he must have realised he was going into the wrong stand!Lowbankclaret wrote: At that point a lad walked up saying he had the wrong ticket for the wrong stand.

I don't know why he didn't realise until he tried to get into the JM stand.
I assume he thought the ticket office wouldn't give him a paper ticket and a new plastic card for the wrong stand.
But they did.

No, he was not and is not my pal.Devils_Advocate wrote:Sounds like you and your pal learned this the hard way
It's also not the kind of thing I would do, my season ticket is paid up front as is my daughters. If anyone else wants to go they can go buy their own.
I suggest you stop judging people by your own standards.

Re: Ticket office
Thinking about it DA.
There's a flaw in your argument here.
If this was a plan, then the lad had a valid ticket for my seat. He would have gone to the JH stand and gained entry. I would have been stood outside not being able to gain entry. Yes I might have got a ticket to get in as well so your plan might work.
But as it was the ticket office had my season ticket, the lads reprinted tickets and his name and address for his real seat. They knew they had got it wrong and gave him his correct seat as a paper ticket and one for me for mine. We both then had to go back the following week to get new plastic ones.
