Carroll sent off for red card (elbows) after 27 minutes.
45 minutes of Barnes jumping at opponents in the way he does, (and WHU throwing themselves on the floor), would give a weak referee every opportunity to level things up at 10 a side.
You make a good point.

Pope 7 - a couple of solid saves and catches - I wondered whether he could have done more for the goal, but he was left stranded after Mee missed the long ball
Lowton 7 - unlucky not to score - didn't get forward as much as previous weeks - could have been tactical?
Ward 6 - struggled a bit I thought - also didn't get forward as much - internationals might have had an impact
Mee 6 - missed the long ball for their goal - therefore 6 not 7 - Otherwise pretty good, even with Carroll trying to take his head off!
Tarkowski 8 - Another assured performance. Can handle the physical stuff and doesn't get involved with the WH cheating
Cork 7 - does a very important job very well - couldn't just find the pass to spring the WH defense
Defour 8 - pulled the strings - what a class act he is - could share more of the dead balls with Brady?
Hendrick 6 - tried to play the link up role between Wood and the midfield - didn't work for Jeff today - also could be an impact of the internationals
Arfield 6 - Didn't work for Scotty today either - no lack of effort as usual
Brady 6 - frustrating - some good / some bad - great ball for the Wood penalty - dead balls not up to standard - internationals to blame again??
Wood 8 - Should have had a penalty - scored a good header - led the line very well - great signing I believe - will score plenty more with more service

Vokes 6 - took some of the work off Wood - always a handful for defenders
Gudmundsson 8 - did very well today - unlucky not to score and a great piece of skill and cross for the goal

I thought we were good today. Should have had a certain penalty, hit the post and scored a good goal. As for playing 10 men, when a team loses a forward it doesn't have the same impact as a defender. WH were able to sit in and attack on the break.
Credit to Mr Dyche for subs at half time, Gudmundsson did very well - anything less than a point would have been ridiculous - unlucky not to get all three (we will save that for next Saturday!) UTC
