Stoke fans in Jimmy Mac lower
Who remembers the game when the stokies were in Jimmy Mac lower I'm sure it was due to weather and they beat us was it a night game I can't remember ??
Re: Stoke fans in Jimmy Mac lower
It wasn't due to a parachute chap landing on the CFS and putting his foot through the roof the previous game then?

Pretty sure it wasn't. This happened against Ipswich in 2008 and Stoke weren't our next home gamemorpheus2 wrote:It wasn't due to a parachute chap landing on the CFS and putting his foot through the roof the previous game then?

I try not to remember too much about the game as it was a shocker but remember them being in there while the Cricket Field Stand was out of order.

It was just the roof not being safe. Wind damage I think

Sure it was 2010 in prem? March time?

I remember it well. Some of the Stoke fans never faced the pitch, preferring to face families, in the family stand, effing and blinding for the whole match.
We moved to the Bob Lord the following season because it was rumoured that away fans would be accommodated there, whilst the Cricket field stand was refurbished.

2007. We'd had terrible weather for a while and some of the old roof panels had come loose if I recall correctly. Probably rusty fasteners after 40 years? The entire roof was replace in 2014.
