The Dyche media circus with Clowns in starring roles
The Dyche media circus with Clowns in starring roles
I am sick and annoyed around the constant unsettling of OUR manager Sean Dyche.
Up until 3 weeks ago the talk of Sean and anything Burnley related was treated with disdain and lack of praise, suddenly a job comes up (and yes I will say it a bigger and ambitious club) and the pundits can't wait to try and ruin the foundations and progression of our club by becoming Sean Dyches personal Agent and forwarding him for jobs when he is contracted to a club.
The first hour on Monday Night Football was like a presentation for Sean Dyche interview for Everton.
Pundits have a place in football but they should not be advocating managers in a current job basically quit for another one. What has the future of Burnley and Sean Dyche got to do with them. You can add Joey Barton to that list also.
Mike Garlick needs to be strong if Everton come knocking and say Sean is contracted to us and your approach is not best timed or wanted, we appreciate your current predicament but we won't allow him to leave in the present time.

Until the pundits are on the interview panels for these jobs I wouldn't let it get to you.

Off would be one of my words! However, the man has earned the right to be consulted.

Sean is level headed and there has been no sense of any loss of focus

I'd be amazed if Dyche's contract doesn't include a clause saying the Board must allow him to talk to anyone interested. He was in a position in summer to virtually write his own contract - he won't have left that part out. It doesn't mean he has to go, just that his options are open.

A footie fan complaining about the media/pundits/sports shows would rather
be like a sailor complaining about the sea.
Agree about the clowns, though.

I cannot imagine what Everton see in Dyche anyway. Methinks it's Liverpool and Man U fans wanting to misdirect them into making a mistake. 2 clubs shafted fro the price of one.

I’d be equally as amazed if there wasn’t also a clause from the club about leaving for another team mid season after the Coyle fiasco, but we don’t know really do we.dsr wrote:I'd be amazed if Dyche's contract doesn't include a clause saying the Board must allow him to talk to anyone interested. I agree with the op. Who the hell do they think they are and what right do they have to rip the heart of our club? It's a disgrace, mention it? Perhaps. However to go on and on and on like they are is a joke. I see it is an attempt to destabilise us, tin foil hat or not. The media luvvies supporting teams like Spurs, Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea have all lost to us (or certainly dropped points when they were bankers to win) in the last couple of seasons. We are that annoying banana skin that will not go away, and they don't like us.

Re: The Dyche media circus with Clowns in starring roles
from 'Vital Everton' website:
An Everton interest Burnley boss Sean Dyche is being reported.
Dyche, according to Sky Sports sources, is a favourite as the Blues look to find a replacement for Ronald Koeman.
There might be an interest but the same Sky report went on to say 'another source has told Sky Sports News that any approach for Dyche is not imminent,' who continued to play down interest when commenting after leading Burnley to victory over Newcastle on Monday evening.

It's unsettling at least. The media want to make everything fit to suit their agenda. ie - Fashionable Club ( Everton ) need fashionable Manager (Dyche) Unfashionable Club (Burnley) "can have " Unfashionable Manager (a recent name mentioned - David Moyes!!)..well, yeah, Moyes lives in the Ribble Valley; he's out of work; no compensation to pay...sounds a perfect fit for the media/talking heads etc. Let's hope we can move on from all this and Sean Dyche carries on with his Claret & Blue journey.

I would say one person who is not unsettled by the rumours is Sean Dyche, he will be taking it all with a pinch of salt.
