Re: Blacked Out Windows
That Mondeo must be running a serious YB with all those vents!

I can see why they turn heads but I think it’s a different reason to the one you’re thinking
Do you wear special driving attire?

A little harsh. I've put alot of hard work into my cars, as you can see by the pictures.UpTheBeehole wrote:Those two cars are amongst the most disgusting things I've ever seen.

I'd get the b@stard who spilled the black paint on it.Foshiznik wrote:For those interested (seemed alot of positive interest in my cossie above), my other half has just bought her self an immaculate Astra off ebay. She's had it a couple of weeks and she has worked over 2 whole weekends getting it together. The car was a standard Astra. All work done with her own hands (i may have helped a little...)Was wondering whether she should put blacked out windows in it?
Re: Blacked Out Windows
Might as well go the whole hogg as you are not going for the subtle look.

By jiggery thump they're eye catchers. Each to their own I guess.
Back on to tinted windows. I hate blacked out back windows on the motorway. They stop those behind seeing what's happening up ahead, if that makes sense

Why not? If not the Astra, you wouldn't turn down the cossie would you? Once I've sprayed the front bumper you would be forgiven for mistaking it for a car from Too fast, Too furious.

I believe "they" are calling them "Feds" these days.
Re: Blacked Out Windows
It all comes from the BBC and their remit for England to be seen as a 'gangsta' nation, methinks...
I don't like it either:

Re: Blacked Out Windows
Does anyone have any contacts for detailers in the Padiham area? I've tried to do a DIY job on th'Astra and it's not come out as well as the Mondeo.

Doesn’t reduce glare if it’s a legal tint. Not unless you drive looking out of your rear passenger or back window that is.ClaretEngineer wrote:Affords a certain amount of privacy as well as having heat reflective properties. Also reduces the glare from headlights

I meant glare from the rear when looking in the rear view mirror. Though I suspect that most of the glare was reduced by the auto-dimming rear view mirror.deanothedino wrote:Doesn’t reduce glare if it’s a legal tint. Not unless you drive looking out of your rear passenger or back window that is.

Re: Blacked Out Windows
I just questioned who in their right mind would pay to have a green Barrymobile polished. Trying to justify it proves my point. You can't polish a turd, but you can roll one in glitter; I just hope this doesn't describe your efforts.
