Dyche to stay
Re: Dyche to stay
It's not just about Dyche it's about the sickening state of the British media and how it pulls and pushes folk gratuitously, without a care other than for itself. To know that cancerous entity is attempting to rule our lives is very disturbing. I guess that's the idea to keep us all down, but that is sick in itself. The standard of journalism at the BBC is so incredibly low (think prat Hartson's ignorant comments) and to claim that as the elite of British culture, to the exclusion of intelligence upsets me.

Re: Dyche to stay
I agree he would probably go and I wouldn't blame him, it's the fact he probably hasn't yet been offered the job that gets me. I don't know who his agent is or even if he has touted his name around or if SD's comments earlier in the week were simply because the punditry are linking and supporting him as 'The Man'.taio wrote:I read it differently in that many people think Dyche would be most likely to leave IF Everton offered him the job.
I would think it slightly remiss of Everton's Board were they to only have a single name in mind when they sacked Koeman.
I'm sure he would be leaving with the blessing of our Board as well were he to be offered the role. This sort of opportunity may never be presented again and Everton are a big attraction for anyone.
Re: Dyche to stay
The problem for SD is probably that he's seen as another Pulis type of manager. Good at making sure teams ar solid and hard to beat.JohnMac wrote:I agree he would probably go and I wouldn't blame him, it's the fact he probably hasn't yet been offered the job that gets me. Would Everton ever offer the managers job to someone like Pulis?
If not then SD has no chance of being offered it.

Sean Dyche's next job when he eventually leaves Burnley (but not for a while yet) will be the next England manager.

Re: Dyche to stay
Got to say when I saw Koeman had been sacked my heart sank as it dawned on me that we could have been becoming close to losing Sean. I'm now confident he is staying for now and I got to thinking do we do enough as fans to show our appreciation to the man (men) who have gotten us to this point.
A loud chant to greet SD and his staff when he emerges from the tunnel on Monday would be amazing imo! As long as it isn't the Ginger Mourinho chant as that no longer does justice to what he has done here. "Only one Sean Dyche" would surely be easy to get going

As a Rover I'm gutted he's staying. As a fan of a smaller unfashionable club I'm delighted he's staying. Screw the media.

Re: Dyche to stay
just heard the '5 year' interview with Sean on ClaretsPlayer
worth a listen as he reviews his time here 'Approaching five years'
he responded to a question of him being linked to other clubs:
'...I'm still here - that's all I can say...'

Well he’s not off to Leicester - they’ve got their new man.

I was more concerned with the Leicester link than the Everton one personallyJimmymaccer wrote:Well he’s not off to Leicester - they’ve got their new man.

Whenever he leaves and wherever he goes, I’m pretty confident it won’t be down that particular career cul-de-sac.Better Call Saul wrote:Sean Dyche's next job when he eventually leaves Burnley (but not for a while yet) will be the next England manager.

Media, phone-ins, all trying to get your money. Opium of the masses?
Re: Dyche to stay
Just watched his 5 year interview on Claret player. Excellent interview. There is no way he should give up what he has both found and created in Burnley.

He'd have to give up the lease on his luxury pad in Vanguard House, so, obviously, it's not going to happen.

Maybe. But is it not also some people trying to manipulate the media for their own ends? The Max Cliffords of this world (I know he is presumably not doing much media manipulating at the moment!).Pstotto wrote:It's not just about Dyche it's about the sickening state of the British media and how it pulls and pushes folk gratuitously, without a care other than for itself. Good news on the betting front. Sean is drifting out slightly in the market whilst BFS is getting closer. Someone will make a killing on this market, if they have the right information

So if Dyche does go who do we want?
An old experienced head or a younger up and coming manager?
