Is it time to rename “I’m a celebrity...”
To “I’m related to a celebrity”?
Seriously, this is the only programme of its type that I look at (cos I like to think they are struggling and hating it) mainly because I think ant and dec do a great job ripping the contestants when they are on, but....
The list is out for this year, and it’s a shocker. Over half of them won’t be known outside their immediate family. Shame really, as the more famous and high profile the contestant, the more I enjoy watching them squirm whilst munching ********.

I agree about most not being celebrities but they look to have a few characters on.

Is this crock of sh1te still on tv. It had a novelty value for a year or two when it first came out, like Big Brother, X Factor etc.

I can't believe people still watch this, reality TV is for people who don't have a life of their own. That goggle box thing, watching people watching TV sums it up. Get a life, get a motorbike.

I watched one episode of this, then concluded I wasn’t moronic enough to watch another.
I don’t understand what people get from it.

The quality of ''Celebrity'' has without doubt gone down hill over the last few years.
I also wish the producers would be brave and inject some new ideas instead using the same tired formula. Last year for the first time in years my family actually enjoyed the fact that there was no arguing but the producers tried every trick in the book to stir things up and it's becoming more and more like a Big Brother argument-fest every year.
Big brother was actually bloody awesome in the first series! ..... The contestants where allowed to develop their personalities and the ’Nasty Nick’ episode when he was rumbled was fascinating viewing but all reality shows now are just a wall of noise with constant arguing.
15 years on… what are the original Big Brother line-up doing now? (this was done in 2015 but gives an update on the original BB cast .... https://www.thesun.co.uk/archives/news/ ... doing-now/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
The only reality show I look forward to now is ''The Apprentice'' but this is slowly going the same way sadly!

It's just a bit of fun.
Plus it's a worthwhile vehicle for folk who enjoy scoffing at the shallow pursuit of 'celebrity' status, preaching into the void for three weeks about how they're above all that, while being quite furious that they've not heard of the people on the show they're definitely not watching.

Re: Is it time to rename “I’m a celebrity...”
Virtually all TV made in this country now is the same reality or otherwise with Blue Planet providing a beacon of light. For example Eastenders as been on for over 30 years and is now on about 4 times a week but you can honestly say if you've seen one episode you've seen them all, utter utter utter regurgitated dross.
And it is generally followed by a premium rate phone number asking me to ring if I've been effected by any of the issues in tonight's episode. So if I'm ever recovering from liver failure whilst my brother is sleeping with my wife who I remarried and my son from when I got my cousin pregnant and who I didn't even know I had until he was 27 is robbing his grandma I know who to call.

A bunch of has beens, or should i say never have beens, it really is the worst of tv, its worse than Chris Tarrants extreme railways and thats saying something, why should we made to pay for a tv licence and then be subjected to watching utter s..te. They always pick some bimbo that they think will attract a large male audience and a unknow hunk to attact females. Amir Bloody Khan, what a joke, talk about scrapping the barrel !!!!

I sometimes watch this, but only if there aren't any 'prick list' entries on there.
So in short, I doubt I'll be watching it this year. Dennis Wise and Amir Khan is too much.

You don't pay the licence fee to watch ITV.moaninclaret wrote:A bunch of has beens, or should i say never have beens, it really is the worst of tv, its worse than Chris Tarrants extreme railways and thats saying something, why should we made to pay for a tv licence and then be subjected to watching utter s..te. ITV is an example of the TV you'd get from the BBC if the licence fee was abolished

Okay then, I'll be first to say it. I quite like it. It's harmless fun. I read, I watch films, I get out and about during the day. But once the kids are tucked up in bed and I've got a nice glass of red in my hand, it's good to relax with a bit of empty-headed nonsense on the magic lantern.

Low enough to pick him up after he’s been sparked out by fizz? My wife takes punches better than Khan.Steve1956 wrote:Amir Khan ......how ******* low can you stoop?
Last years lack of arguing was great. Made it even more enjoyable. Bet the producers were spewing.
And let’s be honest, if any of you can put your petty dislike of the very successful and talented presenters ant and dec to one side, you’d see they do a great job of it.
It’s still a sad reflection on fame itself is this lot of contestants are seen as celebrities.

I quite liked Minor Celebrity when it first started because, although it’s obviouslypurile rubbish, it treated the has beens, no marks and hangers on who were so desperate to get their mugs on the telly exactly how they deserved to be treated. But after a couple of series I got bored.

I will probably watch the first night don't know after that, at least it's better than Big Brother, though some of the bush tucker trials are repeating, hope the producers have some imagination this series,Ant and Dec carry the show wonder how long before the Ashes is mentioned.
