I think it is you who is unable to have a fair and unbiased view (understandably as you are just a fan) rather than the ref. Plenty of close and dubious decisions went our way today

As much as Tarks is to blame for the pen unfortunately SD must take responsibility for the change around the 75 min mark; completely gave up possession and composure by going 2 up and resorting to lumping it and losing it; for the last 10 we couldnt get out; 5/10 mins prior to the sub we had started to get a bit of a grip on the game back; were breaking forward well at times with Defour, Brady & JBG and still had a bit of midfield composure; the sub changed all that and apart from a channel ball where Wood held it up well we did nothing.
A poster said brave earlier; it was and it didnt work!

Brady grabbed one of their players and pulled at him whilst on a yellow. I didnt think there was much in it but that was the closest anyone got to deserving a red card

I understand that but the offside wasn't given was it? If it was then fair enough. The ref had to choose for both whether they were fouls or not.

You wont see a more obvious decision all season, clear penalty. Disappointing but it happens, thought we were great until Wood came on. I presumed the idea was to put two strikers on and try to win the game but we sat in and invited pressure and paid the penalty.

I can't believe how mad I'am right now, nothing given for the more blatant push on Ash in the first half which as a fan you brush aside at the time, however when they get a pen for that I'm disgusted. The wife and the dog are gonna get get nothing but abuse from me all night. GUTTED but UTC

We were excellent today though; played some really composed football, in the first half especially, and played on the front foot from the start and took the game to them.Positive signs and one where we can say we belong in the Top 10 at least.

The offside was given. The push came after and the reason the defender ended up pushing him was because Barnes had got goalside of him illegally

For a split second I thought he had. :o It's a p1s8er but I'm not as disapointed as last season. I don't think we've lost an important 6 pointer but we're certainly looking a decent side.

100% agree and we should be focusing on this rather than crying like babies about the referee

The offside against Barnes was given.
No comparison between the two incidents.

Misjudgment by Tarks - No way they'd have scored from the cross.

I genuinely don't see how anyone can argue it this time (like I mentioned earlier though, I doubt Mason would have given it at the other end)

Lowton playing him onside. Clever play by going to ground.

Anyone got any footage of penalty to see if there was encroachment?

Dived like an olympic champion after feeling contact. Ref obviously couldn't wait to point to the spot. Popey almost saved it too!

From what I could see Tarks did touch Ramsey but don't think it was enough to send him
sprawling they way he did. He obviously felt the touch and went down trying to get the penalty.
And he was successful.

What a pity.

Great dive by Ramsey to make sure that Mason didn't miss the push.
A bit naive by Tarky.

That looks like simulation to me, Ramsey needs to be checked out if he falls over that easily

For those criticising the substitution - by that point we weren't keeping possession anyway, losing composure and hoofing it to Barnes who was by himself. The ball was just coming back time after time. It made sense to me that he'd bring on a striker, not to go all out to win, but to try and help the ball stick at the other end and give Barnes support. From about 65-70 minutes we'd started bypassing midfield.

Should use sensor technology in shirts to see if there is significant pressure applied. Or just be consistent - either give benefit of doubt to attackers or defenders.

One touch and he cheats like heck
One touch and he hits the deck
One touch and the ref needs specs
One touch and our hopes are wrecked
