Was it as loud as boro and brighton in the championship winning season?
Just got home and the mrs said 'Burnley scored late then? Could hear it very loud in the house, cant usually!'
Must have been some cheer!

Well done. You could hear the traffic on the main road beforehand.

The boro roar was primeval. Lindsey noise I’ve heard on the turf.

Wasn't that cheer actually for Dyche sending on a second attacker?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yZ-5-oWnKv0" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Sounds good on here. I could watch a loop of that goal over and over. Meanwhile the BBC write that Barnes scored 'after the ball ricocheted off Arfield...' Sweet.
They may have taken that vid. off now, It won't work for me right now, but it did 'work for me so much when it did.'

never give barnsey that space; he can whack hard! Thinking about it they gave us way too much time to Corky to knock into him

We were walking round the back of the 110 club when the cheer went up but everyone around us thought Stoke had scored in that it wasn't that loud.
The Ashleys Barnes song after sounded louder and could still hear it near the town centre.

It was that loud my other half heard us on the Isle of Man and sent me a text in the JML to congratulate us!

It was a horrible game in horrible conditions to be fair, but I wondered that. Must have been gone on 82-83 mins.

85 mins. I had two wet and cold boys who needed taking home to Bingle before I had to return home to Burnley.
Brilliant decision missing all the traffic.

I was surprised how loud the noise from the CF sounded (before the goal) from behind when walking up the lane to say how many complain about it from inside the ground.

Never going to match the Boro roar, because that equalizer put our promotion back into our hands and we all knew it
But a roar of relief, and a chance to move some frozen legs and arms and to dream of 4th

So you endured all that cold weather to miss out on seeing one of the most important goals scord at Turf Moor in years put yourself all through that to guess at which way the game had gone.
Told you to apply them with a Bene & Hot

First 10 rows - we were getting wet on the last row of the first block. It was horrible and i don't blame you for moving with children. I would have moved to the noisey corner at the back though

Completely agree.
But the best "goal roars" are usually the ones that follow a goal that takes everyone by surprise, as last nights was. Given the context and where it takes the club, even if temporarily, last night deserved a special roar.

Tie is something that they hadn't given us all night. They were probably knackered by then.

Last night's roar felt good, everyone around me went utterly mental.
I actually drifted into thinking about goal roars during the game, and how some are almost pathetic - the fourth in an easy win, or even one of those where a retreating keeper gets lobbed. A mere 'hooray'.
I also thought how some are explosive and cause people to go crazy. Blake v Utd being the prime example, but we can add Barnes' tw*tting of that ball last night to that. The fact it put us in the Champions League spots definitely added to it.

I've lost my voice so my 'roar' was more of a croak. Felt like a very good croak though.

Not as loud as Boro but there was an outbreak of throwing caps and hats in the air - must be a new thing?
