B&HA Seagulls versus Mighty Clarets

Post by IanMcL » Sat Dec 16, 2017 1:24 pm

Parked up and ready for the walk to Lewes Station.

Lester 2 down at h/t! Keeps them adrift of us, if that is end result. Everton will be nearest chasers soon! Nottingham and Arsenal better watch out! :o

Madge is fired up and ready to galvanise us in support of our heroes.

Come on you Clarets. Destiny awaits.

I wonder if it's now Bardsley's shirt to lose.

Good afternoon all from a cloudy but cold Galway day .
Now not sure how this will pan out today as will Brighton sit back or will we do the same , i would say after the first 15 minutes we will know . Hard to call today but have gone for a 1-1 draw , but if we score early or late come to think of it we will lock up shop and see the win out . One nil to the Burnley ..........

That was the team several of us picked.

Based on you cannot leave Mee out and Ward was not going to make it.
The Bardsley/ Lowton position is too close to call, both players have qualities slightly better than the other but overall I think it's too close to call one being better than the other.

Good afternoon fellow clarets. I hope today finds you in fine fettle.

Nice to see Mee back. However, I do feel for Kevin Long. He must wonder what he needs to do to be given a real chance. Dyche says he doesn't have favourites. However, Kevin Long comes in and helps us keep 2 clean sheets and then he's immediately dropped as soon as Mee becomes available again. Is that not a bit harsh? I know Mee didn't lose the shirt due to poor form but still...I guess managers sometimes have to make difficult calls.

I'd say the shirts Bardsley's as long as he's
playing like he is.

Question if Taylor had to come off who would cover left back from the bench ?
Maybe bring on Long and send Mee out there , not sure any ideas ?

Agreed. I do wonder whether Long’s willingness to be a sub makes it an easier decision to leave him out.

Can see JBG or Hendrick being the key today. Like Stoke, the Brighton CB will love the ball being lumped up to Wood all game. Think they will strughle more with the ball on the floor or in behind.

Obviously, SD picks what he thinks wil be the team to give us the best chance of winning the the game.

It ain't a question of "oh, I feel sorry for that bloke, he's done nowt wrong, so I'll pick him." Doesn't work that way.

These decisions are necessary.

At the ground. Ready to enterfor the 3 points. Stood at Lewes Station and train for Brighton comes in. Almost empty. Doesn't stop at Falmer.... next stop down the line, so people had to get off, who were going to football! Next train rammed before anyone got on! Fortunately they put on a special....which was not reqd, had theylet that first trainstop at Falmer!

Afternoon Clarets worldwide. We are due some true justice down there.
Tom was wrongly sent off a few years back and nobody can forget the disallowed goal.
Today is the day.
