Misread - thought it said what would you drive. They look very impressive. Someone had road rage behind me in one last month (probably my fault tbh). So I pulled aside to let them past and was surprised how quick it was! The driver was Tyson FuryHeathclaret wrote:Hi Cricketfieldclaret,

Re: What do you drive?
One of our cars is a 2004 Hyundai getz 1.4 Gsi, we have had this car for 10 years now. great little city commuter. Funnily enough we can get what we originally paid for it if we scrap it and upgrade to a new car. why would we though? it still runs clean and is cheap as chips to run.
Bought for £3000 in 2007 with 17,000 miles on the clock.
Now has 60,000 on the clock, cambelt done, clutch done, 4 new Pirelli's....sat on 15" alloys, Starts 1st time and never broken down.
However,we would be lucky to get £500 if we wanted to sell privately.
Until 31st dec most main dealers will offer between £2,000 and £6000 off of a new vehicle, petrol & Diesel to crush your old car. Would YOU be tempted to scrap this good, loyal car? for the lure of a new motor and more expense? or would you stick with what you know and keep the money?

Re: What do you drive?
As I said, we would be lucky to get £500 for it ordinarily. Ford, Psa group, mini, Audi, BMW and others Will give you a minimum £2000 towards a new car if you let them crush it. So, we would get at least £2000 for itUpTheBeehole wrote:You'd never get £2,000 for that

3650kc annual transport pass.
Gets me all around Prague 24hrs a day and works out about 120 quid a year. It's honestly not worth having a car

A Myselfmad so that I have only myself to blame. Actually I've been looking at two makes of vehicle today as an obsession. The first a Humber. Interesting YTvideo (there is more interesting maybe) of German bloke and a Humber Imperial. The second, Datsun Cherry.
Humber Imperials and Datsun Cherrys. it's been than kind of a day.
My last car was a Honda.

Re: What do you drive?
Never understood why you would want a hatchback estate. Why not just buy a bigger car ? It's a bit like having a big mini. Then again minis are all big nowadays.
Re: What do you drive?
The original Datsun Chery was the most bizarre hatchback estate, almost a pick-up or van hatchback. It's a car where the roof is the boot, almost.
