I live opposite my doctor's surgery and 400 yards from Waitrose and a 5 mins walk from an Odeon cinema and the dentist. In terms of practicality, not bad.

I would want to live miles from my doctors who I hate seeing.

We don't have a Waitrose near here unfortunately.

If there was an Odeon cinema within a thousand miles it would be too close.

And dentists. Only wasps are worst. They should all be a million miles away.

I would live in Goa.

Can't remember the name of the road or the pub tbh - I'll have to check. The Pizza shop was a Tex Mex - about a mile up the road from Bolton Institute.

Sounds like Deane Road, or it could be St Helens Road towards Leigh.

It's always been Tuvalu for me.

Although waste and supposed rising sea levels are mentioned as negatives these days.

Got to be within easy driving distance of the Turf and somewhere the wife is fond of...It would be a tough decision between the Fylde area and the Lune Valley as we have good friends & close relatives in both areas.

where I live now - Ribble Valley. 20 mins to Burnley, the trough of Bowland/ Yorkshire Dales/ South Lakes literally on the doorstep, more real ale and good food than even a glutton like me can manage. I'm happy enough.

If I didn't have kids and lots more money it would be abroad probably, somewhere in Europe or the US.

As it stands now I'd prefer to live in the North West, but I'm happy enough being near my kids.

I live on the edge of the Dales, the only place I'd move is somewhere nearer the middle.
Must have a thriving pub within walking distance, the rest doesn't matter.

Just checked google maps - yes it was Deane road. The Tex Mex is still there..... The pub is now a gourmet diner...... and the chippy is a Tax advice shop.

In Italy, pretty much anywhere but preferably in the South. Great country, great food and great people who, as Europeans, are the closest to us in sense of humour. Great football as well. As Jeremy Clarkson once said, 'to be born Italian and male is like winning the lottery of life'.
Failing that Argentina, somewhere near Avellaneda in Buenos Aires so that I could watch Racing Club FC (don't ask why I just fell in love with them as a kid and look for their results even to this day).

I don't know if such a place exists.....

16-20 degrees all year round. Sunny during the day and if has to rain, its quick and done with swiftly during the day or at night time.

Must have good internet so I can watch Burnley still.

If anyone can think of such a place, please let me know so I can start planning :)

San Diego. Bit warmer than that in summer but mornings are always cooler.

If I was to ignore the crime then I'd go for Cape Town.

Great climate, great food, lots of opportunities for outdoor activities. Love the place.

My wife is from CT and we have family there. Crime is not as rife as in Joburg or Durban but it is there.

We got married there 18 months ago....awesome city but job opportunities for a white man are scarce....you would hav to have a lot of money in the bank and even then it can take years to get a visa...

Shame as we had hoped to settle there after H's stroke but it proved impossible....

Would have to be Barbados. So long as I could afford a big house on the West coast and didn't have to work.

I miss the Dales too but, in reality, 30 mins to central london by train ain't too bad.

I like the amalfi coast.

Failing that, there’s a house on the outskirts of padiham as you drive towards read and simonstone before you get to the lights for the bypass. It’s on the right, recently sandblasted, and painted a lovely shade of green. Double garage, and decent sized from garden. I’d like to live there. If I win the lottery, I will.

Beer a quid a pint, garden on my roof insulating me nicely, and a pool next to that in summer.

Women aren't too shabby either
