Although we had tickets together, hey had “closed” mine & my brothers seat for their development works on the stand and had relocated the 2 of us to the lower stand, whilst my dad was in the upper.
When we spoke to him he couldn’t understand why because all there was, was 2 empty seats next to him where we should have been

There are, but we haven't got any in the lower tier for this game but extended blocks in the upper two tiers. I'd got mine but called in to get one for someone today and it was top tier only.Sean Dyche's Watch wrote:aren't there three tiers in the away corner now?

Re: 2017/18: Manchester City v Burnley – Cup Ticket Information
Well done the club for finally seeing sense and giving us an allocation figure. It’s been an odd situation not knowing, and will have definitely had a negative impact upon our away sales figures.
I wonder whether it will be just for this game mind, mainly because they were worried people wouldn’t bother queuing thinking they wouldn’t get one?
Anyway, I’m not convinced we’ll shift them all, but it’s made the different for 5 of us who wouldn’t have bothered applying for them or queuing, but will be going now, so that’s good.

Seems the allocation info given for the City fixture is a one off - Gone back to their previous secretive ways again for the Palace game. Still no explanation as to why.Claretforever wrote:Well done the club for finally seeing sense and giving us an allocation figure. forgive my ignorance here, but what is the significance of knowing what an allocation is? It makes it easier to determine whether or not the game's going to sell out, which means you can make arrangements to get tickets earlier or later at your own convenience.Sean Dyche's Watch wrote:forgive my ignorance here, but what is the significance of knowing what an allocation is? It's not. It's right in the middle of the stand behind the goal in the 2nd tier. It's a good seat. None of your fans will be next to City fans, but you will be above City fans who will be in tier one.Sean Dyche's Watch wrote:I picked up my ticket today, which was purchased online the minute they went on sale last Friday. Game will be sold out - which it should be given the prices and the way we are playing.
Great season for both clubs. I had you down to go down at the start of the season. So many promoted clubs seem to struggle in the 2nd season when they ease off a little and other clubs get used to how you play. Obviously I got that wrong!

If you've got a group with a variety of loyalty points it gives you a better idea whether or not you'll be able to hold off buying them until it gets to a lower threshold so you can sit together.Sean Dyche's Watch wrote:forgive my ignorance here, but what is the significance of knowing what an allocation is? Other clubs are capable of giving allocations and details on how many fans are in each loyalty point threshold (and the order that tickets will be sold in, updates on numbers sold, etc). For whatever reason that is all a bit beyond Burnley.

Sold over 3000 already so should be the biggest away following of the season comfortably.
Unless we somehow get past City and get another decent cup draw.

I was down earlier and was also told around 3,000, so I’d imagine we’ll sell at least 5,500 now, which is amazing, but could be a lot closer to 7,000 than I thought.
There’re enough tickets for those who really want to be there anyway. Don’t get me wrong, there’s always those who don’t want to go until they realise it’s such a huge following, want to be part of it at the last minute and are then gutted they can’t get a ticket. They’ll then be on here with some long arsed reason why the club are in the wrong.

Re: 2017/18: Manchester City v Burnley – Cup Ticket Information
I received an email from the club yesterday telling me I was now able to buy a ticket with my 2790 points. Which implies I wasn't before the 3000 limit ended.
However, because I want to go with my son and grandkids and I am only allowed to purchase 1 ticket, I shall have to wait and hope there are still some available when they go on general sale on Wednesday next. I read the post on Clarets Turf but the online sales page refuses to allow me to buy 2 adults and 2 kids tickets.

As with everything online it seems to take some electrickery so may have changed by the time it opens today? There’ll be plenty next Wednesday no doubt anyway as there are only 2 more F2F selling days before then.

2 possible options is to walk towards Asda and get on the tram at Velopark or walk to the city centre. It's not that far.
There are regular buses too.

Reckon we'll shift plenty tomorrow afternoon before the game. Lots of people probably waiting for general sale as well so they can sit with mates. Still think we'll sell out.

I have a feeling this will sell out if we’ve sold vitually half our allocation already, it reminds me of the Sheff Utd third round match in early 90’s when we took thousands there.

Can't see us shifting 7000 to be honest or City selling out. Fa cup has lost its appeal and we have played at theirs plenty of time in the league.
