Mancy City versus Mighty Clarets FA Cup R3

Post by IanMcL » Sat Jan 06, 2018 1:38 pm

Afternoon all. Big match for the Mancy's today. They will see this as a test of how far they have come and attempt to match our Mighty Heroes for effort.

Nonetheless, if we keep our heads and work hard, we shall overcome.

Madge is on her way by bus and tram, having broken out of HolyCustard's cupboard under the stairs.

Let's show them who are the big team here!
Up the Clarets!

Hm, whatever....

I guess we'll soon see if Dyche indeed has a masterplan or is just going to roll with it and focus on the league...

Madge arrived and changed.
Ready to fire us up, now we have the team news.
Long for Tarkowski, Westwood for Defour and Vokes replaces Arfield.

Always a chance with Bravo in goal!

City have a job to pick a weaker team!

Signing a new contract has no bearing on staying, should an offer come in. Could well be that we are saving him from being cuptied, or he would, for sure be on the bench.

I was thinking the same with Barnes being more of a inside forward rather than LM.. Might let Charlie Taylor bomb down on the overlap... We'll see.

Must be it.

He had all of christmas off. Sean could have given Ben the day off.

maybe City should give 7600 tickets to all away teams - Emptihad looks reasonably full for a change

Report in the print edition of The Times, Friday (bit not on on-line). My summary:

Tarks signs new contract, doubling pay to £30,000 per week. Dyche can't guarantee that this means Tarks will remain - other clubs can always pay more - interest shown by Chelsea and Arsenal.

Let's hope that he's had a reaction in his hand after L'pool game - and he will be back in the team at Crystal Palace...and the rest of the season... and many other seasons....
