fair play to the ones who stayed. WHY. thats why they are there to do, support the team win lose or draw. its supporters like Lancaster who give us real fans a bad name. leaving early, making excuses then bragging about it. however what do you expecet from a guy who apart from being blind, unemployed and a moron is also a fair weather fan.
I think he's getting this trolling lark. Took you long enough though!

Though to be fair to him, he's pretty rubbish at it. He always overdoes it and ends up looking needy. It's like he gets off on pwning himself.

Its a steep learning curve for him.

But with our support (even though its clearly part time) and understanding, he'll get there.

I think there's one way to sort this. Those who don't like it, pay for the tickets of those who leave early - on the condition they don't leave early.

Everyone 1's a winner. Those who hate it when people leave early, will stay to the end. Those who normally leave early, get a free ticket.

As lots of posters have said, it's up to the individual whether to clear off or not. The trouble was that it looked so bad yesterday when hundreds of people suddenly headed for the exits. Up to then, the support hadn't been too bad.

But there was a lot of fans who had taken advantage of the fact it was £5 for kids.

Kids and old people where the ones who were leaving.

Only a total utter nutter would have a problem with that, certainly to the extent that people have moaned about it on here.

absolute rubbish. you go to Manchester to support the team and decide to clear off early. ive heard every excuse going on this thread today. there is no excuse. support the team until the end then cheer them off for doing thier best. like i said a lot of fair weather supporters on here. they know who they are

You need help

I'm not a eighteen year old kid full of stella, or a bitter old **** with nothing better to do.

I'm a dad with an eight year old and a ten year old kid at their first away game, and if we leave early to catch an earlier train, we are home about 1 1/2 hour early.

Bizarrely enough, there are more important things in life than a game of football and if you don't get that..........

you cant keep making excuses for you deciding to leave early Lancaster then trying to get people to side with you. it really is an embarrassment. and you call yourself a real fan. if you needed to get home early for what ever reason maybe you shouldnt have gone. its not like you need to get uo for work is it

Having an 8 year old daughter with me at only her third game you have nailed it perfectly for me. Some people really do need to see the bigger picture. If i had been on my own i would most likely have stayed. Those saying we had lost faith..really?? There is faith and blind faith at 4-1 down to probably one of if not the best team in Europe at the moment..away from home..with 5 mins left...and believing we can turn it around. At that point i made the decision to beat the rush as my daughter was cold and we needed to get the tram..knowing it would be busy. I must admit i was surprised at the numbers leaving though. Fairweather fans?  If you say so pal. I just happen to have my priorities in the right order now I have grown up.

A few fans had genuine reasons for leaving long before the final whistle.
Some others would have been the same fans who walked after just 10 minutes in 2010. (City at home)
Thats their choice, But I was proud of the thousands who stayed to Applaud the players off.
Our Team has done us Proud all season and did us proud for most of the Game on Saturday.
The 4,000 or so who stayed to applaud the lads wanted to show that they are proud to be a claret.

The @@@@ Man Utd makes sense to me.

Man Utd have won the league 20 times, European Cup 3 times, FA Cup 12 times, League cup 5 times, UEFA cup once, one Super Cup, One Intercontinental cup and one FIFA Club World Cup.

Man City have won the league 4 times, FA Cup 5 times, League Cups 4 times and UEFA cup once so there is some validity in the chant.

Utd have done it through being the biggest club in the UK and generating their own money City have done it through getting it bought for them by an Arab, much like Blackburn (at least Jack Walker was a Blackburn fan) did and Chelsea have done.

When Josef Stalin was in charge of the Soviet Union, he got standing ovations that went on and on and on, because no one dared to stop clapping.

Nice to see some of our fans going down that road, where you support for the team is completely conditional on how long you stay to clap the team off.

Lancaster let it go, I stayed to the end and clapped the team off but that was my choice. If you left early you did so for your own reasons doesn't make you a better or worse fan than anyone else!

Don't worry Rammy, I'm 100% trolling.

Every single one of our fans is a fan, be that the home and away fanatic who still sleeps in a BFC duvet cover, to the ones who only go to two/three games a year. And everyone whose sensible knows that!

In my opinion the only ones who can criticise others fans actions are those who stomached the 86/87 season and also were in the demo on Brunshaw Road shouting for Chalky White to be the next chairman.

I left after the 4th goal because I know how long the queue for the tram can get at the Etihad if you don’t leave early.

But fair play to the OP. Clearly a bigger and better fan of BFC than myself.

I stayed to the end but I can't blame anyone who left early, we didn't have a prayer and it's a right nightmare getting out of the Etihad. In fact i'd go so far as to say all the other people who stayed to the end are probably part time fans who've not been to any of the league games there that cost £30 and require loyalty points and so weren't aware of how long the tram queues are. Should be ashamed of themselves.

if I was there, and left early, we would have scored. Always happens. I leave early on occasion due to the added hassle of having to cross a major body of water to get home.

I watch football because I enjoy it. And Burnley is my team.
If someone feels they can't get anymore enjoyment from watching and supporting their team then there's no shame in leaving.
Getting stuck in traffic can take away some of that enjoyment, so if leaving early is a better option, again no shame.

JT Claret. you don't go on the games with LancasterClaret by any chance. what about thinking about staying until the end of the game and clapping the boys off for giving maximum effort instead of thinking about missing the traffic. has that never crossed your mind. some people are just so selfish.

They are lacking consideration at the uber fan-boys who now have to spend the last 15 minutes of every game facing away from the pitch so that they can monitor the exits whilst getting get suitably irate about the early leavers.
