yesterday's performance suggests despite having injuries, we should definitely not be worried for the rest of the season (especially when we've got players coming back + Lennon)

And I'd say only 4 of those are ones I'd expect us to struggle in: Man City, Chelsea, Arsenal and maybe Everton. The other 10 I'd fancy us to pick up at least a point. The games we've lost recently were always going to be tough.

I don't think away at Palace and Huddersfield were in the 'always going to be tough category' but returned 1 point with no goals scored.

Position is kind of irrelevant - it's points above the relegation positions that matter.

You'd have to be wearing claret tinted spectacles and be injecting Burnley into your blood to believe that everything is fine.

No win in 10 games, it's relegation form, I don't care what position we're in.

Position only gives us a cushion, which is closing with every game we don't win. March and April could well see us slip way, way down into the depths.

Position is relevant as it is unlikely all the teams below will hit form they have to play top 6 sides and also play each other WE certainly won't be relegated but this winless run is a worry more so as the performance today was inept and we look toothless up front.

Not a snowballs chance in hell we'll even get dragged into the scrap at the bottom,
never mind go down.

Away form isn't so bad. Four points from 6 away games? Plenty to keep a side up with, if the home form passes muster.

No, it's the home form that will get us relegated. One point in 4 games? One miserable point? ONE POINT! Do you hear me? In the last four home games (Tottenham, Man United, Man City, Liverpool) we have managed just ONE POINT! I'll tell you this much, there won;t be many clubs get as few as one point from four matches and stay up. Two wins and a draw should be the absolute minimum from four home games.

If this sort of form continues, we'll only get 43 points for the season - which as you accurately point out, may be relegation form if every other result goes against us and all the other teams at the bottom win more than half their games - and even if it doesn't, then only the blindest optimist can envisage us winning a game next season. Or the season after in the Championship. And I have to say, I bet our board of directors are so blind that they won't even sack Sean Dyche after he's gone 100 matches without a win. Which just goes to show that they are hopeless and should be sacked right away.

If only we could do something different in the next few home games. Earlier in the season when we were playing teams that weren't in the top four, we were winning. Couldn't we somehow arrange to do that again? To find some opponents to bring to Turf Moor that aren't in the top four? If the Board of Directors could do that, I might see it in my heart to stop panicking.

For all those fans saying "yes, but we are 7th"-yes but that will change shortly. Watford, Leicester and Watford in mid table have been indifferent and should already be above us.Happened last year we struggled at the end coming down a number of positions

After yesterday I struggle to see who we could beat with the bottom half of the table fighting for their lives. Could you really see us beating the Albion or Stoke next week. Yes players coming in have done well, but we have no Defour picking the ball up from the back four at every opportunity, no Brady with his brilliant dead ball kicking and flashes of brilliance and no Woods who is more likely to put a half chance away

If we were 10 games into the season we and Huddersfield would be stonewall bankers to go down. Yes we were outstanding up to Christmas but depth of squad and tactics will cost us many points between now and May. It takes 4-5 games to build up confidence again but I fear more heated debate than at present in that coming weeks

Be careful Warwick. The we can’t comment without being positive or your not a burnley fan will now be for lynching you. Glad to see a few people without claret tinted specs on can see that I was only querying our recent form and injuries which has got worse.

Surely there has to be more to our PL strategy than being content with just crawling over the line.

What's your obsession with Watford that you have to mention them twice? :?

Oh, and it's Wood, not Woods!

Yes, but why restrict yourself to yesterday? Why not say "After losing at Swansea and drawing against Man City, could you really see us beating ..."

Remember that Gardiola said he thought City played well. So did I, for that matter. Is it really reasonable to say that after we played that day, it's hard to imagine that we could possibly beat Stoke? It doesn't make sense to me.
