Excellent news. I have to admit I was expecting us to struggle in our first season at this higher level. Especially given the ravages to the youth set-up caused by a former administration. Danny Cadamateri (sp) has done a fantastic job.

They did really well last season under Duff although that was in a lower league. We've done really well so far this season and some of those players are coming on really well.

This was an excellent performance and a very good game. We dominated for long periods, and it would have been three points but for Town's goalie who made several fine saves, including one from the penalty spot. Superb never-say-die attitude from the youth team.

This game was always going to be a tough one against Huddersfield who are very strong. To be 1-0 down, undeservedly, and then go 2-0 down before failing to score from the penalty spot, and still come back shows a fantastic attitude, one I've seen in our youth team when I've seen them throughout this and last season.

And can I saw how good it is to hear from you huddsclaret

This is a really good result for the lads, particularly when coming back from 2-0 down. They really have got a good spirit going within the team and it is all credit to the coaches for instilling this into them.
Michael Duff certainly picked them up last season and Danny has carried on the good work --let's hope that they can continue to pick up points and finish well up the table.

I've not seen the youth team in ages with this run of away games and last week's kicking off early, but for the last two seasons it has at least been a pleasure to go and watch them again.

Do you think it's helped with a lot of the youths having to step into the u23 team so often with so many of them out on loan?

With players such as Scott Wilson, Oliver Younger and Dwight McNeil playing in the u23s all season it has weakened the youth team obviously, losing their best three players. But it has given opportunities to other players stepping up so they are gaining experience as well as the three mentioned are at the higher level so there has to be a positive in that.
