Pure puritans. Feel for the lasses who enjoyed their work, taken away by someone else's feelings. Photogenics will be the last to go.

Hope they don't get rid of the "grid girls" in F1.

I'd get a petition going for bridesmaids to be banned at weddings too, no need for them. Extra expense and serve no purpose.
I'm also sick and tired in always seeing male MC and announcers at darts, boxing, rugby and football etc. Sooner these sexist sports are banned the better our country will be.

I wonder if the girls themselves were consulted, presumably they weren't being forced to work, and weren't working for free.

The Women's Sport Trust tweeted: "We applaud the Professional Darts Corporation moving with the times and deciding to no longer use walk-on-girls. Motor racing, boxing and cycling....your move."
Feminists supporting women being denied employment. I think that really is PC gone mad.

Absolutely. Women shouldn’t be fighting in a ring, they should be fighting in a mud pool.

It might be ok in amateur sport but it has no place in professional sport.
With it being scrapped it might help certain men to take women in sport more seriously as the actual athlete/sportsperson rather than a sideshow.

PC gone mad, the PC brigade have inadvertently denied the “walk on girls” an income. It is probably the “not so pleasing on the eye” girls getting their revenge on the “more pleasing on the eye” ones who got all the attention of the boys when they were at school.

It's odd that some people seem to think women can't be models and play sports. Women aren't homogeneous.
And I doubt the "walk on" girls were coerced into their jobs.
It's all a bit showy and a bit daft. Like the darts, funnily enough.

A bit like health and safety gone mad denying miners the chance to work in dangerous life threatening jobs but they were able to retrain some I'm sure these women will be able to get jobs as car mechanics or stevedores.

Sport's not been the same since the ancient olympic games. The PC bragade who decided that men should wear clothes when competing have a lot to answer for.
We all want to see Steven Defour bollock naked.

I'm so glad they have banned it because it gives certain people on here something else to get REALLY het up about. I mean, they must live charmed lives to seriously give a feck about the lack of walk on girls at the darts.
Oh noes, they've banned walk on girls at the darts - it's totally ruined my weekend and my whole life will never be the same again - I hate those femnazis for making me this way!!!!!!!!!

I'll see if I can cope later this evening when the darts is on ITV. But it's still pathetic and the change didn't need to happen.
I wonder if they can take the PDC to court over wrongful dismissal - they've basically been sacked for being a woman.

No I'm not. I'm ridiculing the "it's PC gone mad" crap that imbeciles with no imagination sprout all the time when they are offended by women's organizations trying to end the objectification of women.

Indeed I do, but I see a connection between the side show in darts and the fact that women's sport, be it darts or other Sports that women take part in is not taken seriously. The attitude that the only thing women are good at is cheer leading or walking around looking good before a sporting occasion.
You mustn't take my posts seriously - I don't.
