£20m for an unproven defender from a club that routinely mess us around.... please no no no...I really hope we are not going down this ££££ route...I hope we remain financially cautious amidst all this nonsense - that policy has served us well for a long time.

Michael Keane - the usual guff on here about players who have left us.. as soon as good footballers leave us, a bunch of posters on here want them back!
Keane managed his exit sensibly and respectfully BUT he wanted to leave.
a) are Everton trying to get rid?
b) any indication that Keane is keen to come back.. I don't think so.

An awful lot of annoying uninformed rubbish on here today..roll on 11.00pm.
Did I ever say we should pay £20M for this Forest kid? I've never even seen him play

If we turned down Holding for 15m, it just seems silly. How many league places would we potentially lose with a patched up back line, and how much is it per place in prize money? It may well end up that it could have paid for itself?

Possibly - but why do you think he is worth £15m ?
Didn`t Arsenal pay peanuts from Bolton from him and he hasn`t been able to get in an Arsenal defence which has been shipping plenty of goals this season.
I have not seen enough of him to know whether he's worth that - but would seem strange for someone who has not played that much to increase in value by this amount.

Van Dijk has been one of the best centre backs in the Premier League in the last 3 years.
Holding has done virtually nothing.

If Holding would have been at one of the sides outside the top 6 and played as little as he has for Arsenal I don`t think he`d be valued at anywhere near £15m.
