Kevin De Bruyne
Kevin De Bruyne
As well as being very skillful he also works very hard and covers a lot of the pitch, appearing in all areas.
Something that not all talented are prepared to do.

Class player. Really impressive.

He was recently quoted in L'equipe as saying:
'I would swap all my talent and every Euro of my earnings just to have one brown hair.

I thought we coped with him alright today. (He normally lays 4 or 5 clear chances on a plate for his team)
He created from his short corners but I would of took that before the game.

Re: Kevin De Bruyne
I thought City were slick throughout and at times I was just waiting for the second goal. A joy to watch.
A point gained for us, they will play worse and batter someone. That someone though, won't have the bollo cks that Burnley do.
That's why we leave games like this with a point and/or our heads held high and others don't.
Week on week, those bleak days watching Biggins, Jones, Lawrence et al become more and more worth the bother.
Cheers Burnley.

This season's 'Footballer of the Year' without a doubt.. what a player.. nice polite modest guy as well...and we are playing against this sort of footballer..
Enjoy it while we have it..

Re: Kevin De Bruyne
I think he was outstanding today, but at the end he, and quite a few other City players, looked knackered. It shows how far we have come when we can take what the best in the league can chuck at us and still be going strong at the death.

Yes without doubt a top player. His vision to pick out a pass is something else. It's a great time to be involved as a supporter watching players like him at the Turf. Just shows far have we have come.

Absolute class act. His passing today was exquisite. The ball inside Charlie Taylor to set up the chance for Sterlings miss of the season was sensational. I was at the Etihad earlier this season, and he was probably better that day than today. Absolute shoe in for Football Writers Player of The Year.

Re: Kevin De Bruyne
I couldn't resist adding my praise.
Football fans don't mind watching quality, even if its the opposition.
KDB is the best I've ever seen, because it's all effortless.
He played one ball down the touchline of JH stand that just stood up and waited for the City player when it landed. Me and my lad just looked at each other wide eyed.

Don’t think he showed his best yesterday.
Looked to be sulking second half as they struggled to get the second goal.

Crazy to think Chelsea had De Bruyne and Salah and let both go without a chance.

And Matic who they sold for £1m and bought back for £20m....thought to be fair they then sold him for £40m to United !
How many of these missed opportunities involved the "special one" I wonder ?

Absolute class and feel privileged to have seen him a few times now. Even better that our fantastic team made sure he didn't absolutely destroy us as he has other teams this season!
Shows you can be class on and off the field too, seems a really good lad. Take note Alli!

He`s played better this season but was still the best player on the pitch yesterday by a distance for me.UpTheClaretsFCBK wrote:Don’t think he showed his best yesterday.

Did not see any sign whatsoever of him sulking - quite the opposite intact as I think he is a real team player who covers more distance on the pitch than I realised.
Every time he got the ball there was an air of anticipation amongst home and away fans that something was going to happen.
Re: Kevin De Bruyne
Thought De Bruyne was class yesterday. We were discussing the best opposition midfielder performances against us while in Premier League, we got Fabregas Arsenal cameo, Gerrard Liverpool Modric Tottenham from first season. Fabregas Chelsea from Second, Ericsson Tottenham from last year and De Bruyne yesterday.

You find me a talented player who doesn't work very hard and cover the pitch and I'll find you one who isn't playing anywhere near the top flight.Spijed wrote:As well as being very skillful he also works very hard and covers a lot of the pitch, appearing in all areas.
Something that not all talented are prepared to do.
