Sterlings miss today
is that the worst miss ever at turf moor? I can't think of an easier one off the top of my head.

Re: Stirlings miss today
Certainly one of the worst I've seen.
However, their keepers save from Lennon was one of the best I've
seen on TM in ages. Marvellous stop that denied us all three points.

He`s top drawer but in the looks department Herman Munster could give him a run!
Re: Stirlings miss today
The miss by Stirling changed the Burnley fans belief to, we could get a result, from the game.

I seem to remember the late Brian Hall missing from virtually underneath the bar against Orient in 1977?

Re: Stirlings miss today
Sterling looks an incredible player. In reality, he’s quite ineffective over 90 minutes. He LOOKS busy, but that’s because he sticks his arse out and sprints for five yards.
Would I want him here? No feckin chance.
Sad thing is, he will go to the World Cup, in place of my wife, who is fat, and knows as much about football as he does.

Steve,
I think that if Guardiola hadn’t taken him off pronto it could well have developed!

Anyone else notice how he always seems to have a limp wrist when he is on the ball?

Re: Sterlings miss today
Brilliant comment by commentator on NBC. When Sterling was subbed he took his gloves off and threw them on the floor. Commentator said `Well at least he didnt miss the floor` Apparently Pep picked them up and threw them back at him. Good stuff

It wasn’t so much the miss as the way he threw himself down on the ground like a big baby. Embarrassing.

Gifton Noel Williams penalty kick is currently orbiting Jupiter.

Watching the brief highlights on sky it sounds like he lets out a squeal as he realised he'd missed before he starts slapping the pitch. Gloves off when subbed, the polar opposite to the Burnley mentality .dermotdermot wrote:It wasn’t so much the miss as the way he threw himself down on the ground like a big baby. Embarrassing.
Can't wait to see him line up for England in the World Cup.

Re: Sterlings miss today
I've not read the entire thread, so apologies, but does anybody agree that him being taken off minutes after the miss could do more harm than good?
Pep clearly is potentially the exact opposite to SD... he doesn't give a flying saucer about morale, and is happy to punish people for missing chances. It seems a bit odd!
