Super Leeds - and another one bites the dust.

Post by evensteadiereddie » Sun Feb 04, 2018 9:41 pm

Oooops, there goes another manager.
That new club crest should have a bloke in a tracksuit gripping a P45...

When Leeds came to Turf Moor, they looked the real deal. Not sure what happened since?

The last time they came was a few weeks ago in the cup. We should have battered them.

Leeds foreign owners will appoint another foreign coach and he will get the sack before the end of season.
Need to appoint English manager to get out of the Championship.

Karanka got Middlesbrough out less than two years ago - Newcastle went up last season with Benitez and Huddersfield with Wagner.

They're in a never ending hire/fire cycle.
Quite funny watching the wheel turning again and again & and them not getting anywhere.

New manager needs to be a miracle worker to get them into the play-offs from here & they're a bit thin on the ground. Another foreigner probably.

I can’t see them recycling Monk or Grayson so I’m hoping they get McClaren, they deserve each other.

The thing about Leeds, is if they come up, they'll probably stay up. A one city club, a big city, they'd have some huge money invested and would spend like it's going out of fashion. It wouldn't be good for us.

How can they not work out that stability, continuity and a bit of faith is essential.

How many clubs, chelsea aside suceed with their approach in this country?

You could make the same argument about other clubs.

Problem is they haven't been in the top flight for 15yrs.
They're so out of touch with the top flight it will be a hell of a shock for them.
They'd have to over pay in wages and transfer fees, again, to lure people to the club.

It could take them a few efforts to get a foothold in the PL.

Do they deserve McClaren more than they deserve Clement though?

Clement is well suited to six month stints in management and, just like Leeds, has an impeccable European pedigree (aherm).

Leeds fan I know text me this morning. Said he was glad he’d gone, just not good enough. Says they need stability, then in the same sentence “the owner needs to go as well”
