Arsenal Away Travel
There are engineering works on both Sat 5 May and Sunday 6 May between London Euston and Rugby affecting train times with some cancellations.

That Arsenal game is going to be a nightmare - you can just see it coming.
Re: Arsenal Away Travel
It'll be a nightmare getting there and hundreds will miss out, but we are going to win just to balance it all out
Re: Arsenal Away Travel
Fly down. About £60-90.

And which day are you going to fly on?Dyched wrote:Fly down. About £60-90.
Possibly Wenger's last ever home game so an obvious change for tv so planning transport is impossible yet.
Re: Arsenal Away Travel
I put £60-90 because there are quite a few different flight times available with flybe. Prople could make a weekend of it and go Friday to Monday (£60)tybfc wrote:And which day are you going to fly on?

Obviously booking would be a risk. If going saturday - sunday

Re: Arsenal Away Travel
There are no direct trains back to Lancaster, with trains being diverted via Manchester and a bus replacement between Manchester and Preston, and then another bus replacement between Preston and Lancaster. It looks as if they are also doing engineering works further north somewhere between Rugby and Preston.

Potentially this could be the 6th placed decider too.
Hope the club don't take the minimum allocation.

Re: Arsenal Away Travel
Its an easy drive and plenty of free parking on weekends round there.
Re: Arsenal Away Travel
I would recommend going via Leeds to Kings Cross, can get to Leeds from Burnley Manchester Road every hour.

For people living around Burnley I think that's good advice. Unfortunately for me, Leeds is a 2 hour train journey with a limited service.Bdc wrote:I would recommend going via Leeds to Kings Cross, can get to Leeds from Burnley Manchester Road every hour.

Good shout for the Leeds /Kings Cross option, wish I'd thought of it. Booked Preston to Euston on the Friday, open return, I'm sure we'll find enough to keep us occupied whenever they decide to play the game.
Re: Arsenal Away Travel
What about National Express or Mega Bus?
Might not be ideal but will get you there and back at reasonable cost.
