FAO Samsung Phone Users

Post by Fretters » Fri Mar 23, 2018 7:50 am

Just wondering if anyone has had issues with the smart lock feature lately (where your phone never locks in certain GPS locations).

There isn't much on Twitter about an issue but the feature on both mine and my wife's phones has stopped working. Anyone else having a problem with it?

Mines fine everywhere I have it set apart from home , where it seems to please itself if it wants to or not. Great function though.

I've seen lots of problems with over the last week or so, it would be best if you disable smart lock until a fix is available.

I personally think it’s a stupid idea. Consider the scenario where someone steals your phone to access your data, let’s suppose they know where you live - all they have to do is visit your home, unlock the phone and gain access to your data.

I agree Rick_Muller. Have never turned the feature on.

There isn't much use they could gain access to. My banking apps are all accessed with my finger print. In any case, I only use the smart lock feature at work where there's just me and two other people.

Hope they put a fix out for it soon.

That’s because you’re an intelligent person Fretters... there are stupid people everywhere and it worries me that they can vote...

I simply didnt activated it as said. I dont see it as a pain to use my eyes or fingerprint to unlock

Yep. As Ricky Gervais says, we live in a country that has to write 'DO NOT DRINK' on bleach. Let's remove that warning for two years and THEN hold a referendum
