European tour song
European tour song
Woke up this morning feeling fine, got a tour of Europe on my mind
Can’t wait to follow the Burnley playing away oh yeah
Something tells me we’re up to something good

Something tells me we’re up to something good

Better than the Westwood song. Not great, but better.14bfc14 wrote:Woke up this morning feeling fine, got a tour of Europe on my mind

Re: European tour song
My choice of 'A Song for Europe' would be an ee aye ee aye oh type, we do that at a reasonable tempo .
EE AYE EE AYE EE AYE OH
INTO EUROPE WE WILL GO
WHEN WE LIFT THE TROPHY
THIS IS WHAT WE'LL SING
WE ARE BURNLEY, WE ARE BURNLEY
SEAN DYCHE IS OUR KING
EE AYE EE AYE EE AYE OH

When we’re in France!!
Can you hear the clarets sing singing the song of Burnley men
It is the beauty of our football that does bring us here again
When the beating of your heart echoes the bulging of the net
There is a match about to start when the whistle comes
Will you join in our crusade
Who will be strong and stand with me
Beyond the turnstile gate there is a team you long to see
So stand in the fight against blue and white shite to be free

Re: European tour song
Last away game we played in the Fairs Cup, the number 1 was "release Me" by Englebert Humperdinck.
It wasn't a very hard-hitting top ten, actually
1. Release Me
2. This is my Song - Harry Secombe
3. Edelweiss - Vince Hill
4. Simon smith & the Amazing Dancing Bear - Alan Price Set
5. Kaiser Bill's Batman - Whistling Jack Smith
6. Puppet on a String - Sandie Shaw
7. Georgy Girl - Seekers
8. This Is My Song - Petula Clark
9. Sometihng Stupid - Sinatra & Sinatra
10. - Penny Lane/Stawberry Fields - Beatles.
Apart from numbers 2 and 8 restricting the choice a bit, and Kaiser Bill's Batman and Edelweiss because of "don't mention the war", and Puppet on a String being no use because of the cold feet issue - any suggestions?
