Re: TV money 17/18
There'll probably be a bit of angst about how we get less than anyone else in appearance money. But like Huddersfield, barely anyone outside of the town cares or would bother watching us.
To be fair, we've done ludicrously well from the recent megabucks TV deals, we timed our arrival in the big time perfectly.

Also if you look at Brighton who had 13 live games that is 6 more non 3pm Saturday games and was worth an extra 3m, rather have less games moved for what you get when you consider we get paid for 10 even if only on 7 times.

Re: TV money 17/18
So compared to last season we have received £18.5million more from the Premier League. On top of this we roughly broke even on our transfer spends this summer after spending roughly £35million last season. Although our wages will be slightly higher we must be in line to make a profit of circa £50m for this season.

Re: TV money 17/18
That’s as maybe, but club size hardly explains why Bournemouth were on 5 more times that us. We do still seem to have a PR problem reflected in the media coverage we get.NottsClaret wrote:There'll probably be a bit of angst about how we get less than anyone else in appearance money. No one likes us - it’s true! - maybe we care a bit to much.

Re: TV money 17/18
The lowest number of times on tv, which given our final position is somewhat surprising. It means Newcastle finish with more money than us and even Uddersfeeled were on tele more often (but not enough to gain extra cash).
Re: TV money 17/18
Outside that area of the south coast I doubt many would tune in to watch them.scouseclaret wrote:That’s as maybe, but club size hardly explains why Bournemouth were on 5 more times that us. We do still seem to have a PR problem reflected in the media coverage we get.

How can they be on about clamping down on people watching football illegally when each club as been paid 40 million for international coverage ? Most of the international coverage requires paying money to suscribe
Re: TV money 17/18
Every other chart I have seen has stated that the total equal share is £84m +.
On the chart posted it amounts to an Equal share of £80.4mill.
Just saying like.

Re: TV money 17/18
When neutrals watch a game they want goals and we neither conceded or scored many in comparison to other teams. Looks like the TV folk got it right.
Re: TV money 17/18
Is that £17million more than last season?
Re: TV money 17/18
Usually you are right, however, they also like to see players putting themselves on the line for their team and our heroes gave that every match- as acclaimed by the pundits.CombatClaret wrote:When neutrals watch a game they want goals and we neither conceded or scored many in comparison to other teams.
