He's been on 10 minutes and hardly touched the ball. He needs to shake off the nerves and get involved.

That's a really near goal from Welbeck. He dived for it before the cross came. Almost.

Always good to see Tripps pinging those crosses in. (Not against us, of course)

They are scared to shoot at Pope! Just blasted one way over, as soon as he saw Nick!

Is it because they are all Catholic? Won't defy the Pope?

ITV just said "Jack Butland...." It's a difficult game for keepers when the team is on top.

I hope the commentator remembered it's Nick Pope "between the posts" - to borrow his latest phrase.

Massive gulf in class. Last time I witnessed such a bunch of no hopers chasing shadows was when we won at Deadwood in the cup earler in the reason.

When have england been able to field almost 2 different teams as competitive as this? I think things look pretty good, but the low expectation is a good thing.

These look like young players playing without fear. I hope they can carry that into the tournament.

Didn't see the game but the reports sound good,it might serve England well there is no superstars this time,Beckham,Rooney and the like, still don't think we'll make it past the QF but if we play attacking football and entertain that's all we can expect.
