14 Years after his brother was shot dead on stage, half of Pantera have now gone.
Any fans on here?

Saw that yesterday. Reunited with Dimebag.
Saw Pantera early mid 90's. Great band that metal needed at the time.
Sad news RIP

54 year old and died in his sleep. No apparent overdose, suicide or any other 'rock and roll' way to go so they've turned his body over to the medical folk to find out.
Re: Vinnie Paul Dead
Imagine being told in 2002 that Anselmo would out-live Vinnie and Dime. Crazy. It's a shame he and Phil never reconciled, although I can understand Vinnie's reluctance.
Re: Vinnie Paul Dead
He was good in Gone in 60 Seconds and Lock Stock
RIP

Saw them in 2000ish, absolutely loved them. Trendkill is still my favourite Pantera album, and they were a band who benefited from having an amazing guitarist, amazing frontman and an amazing drummer.
Grew up with them, in a way. Definitely one of the most influential metal bands ever.
Criminal that the two brothers have gone yet Anselmo is still alive, despite his close shaves through heroin. Just doesn't make sense.

Rex wasn't bad either! CFH will always be the best for me I thinkWalton wrote:Saw them in 2000ish, absolutely loved them. Trendkill is still my favourite Pantera album, and they were a band who benefited from having an amazing guitarist, amazing frontman and an amazing drummer.

Found Live 101 on youtube and had to share

Big part of my growing up; saw them live in Brixton 1999 as a wet behind the ears 15 year old, down on the train from Colne with a mate, first time staying away, staying with a complete stranger and doing all the things you're told not to do. Good memories.

Re: Vinnie Paul Dead
Good choice my friend. I similarly saw a few around that time in my mid teens. There isn't anything that comes close these days (plus being older isn't as much fun!)duncandisorderly wrote:Found Live 101 on youtube and had to share

Not bad but they are no Metallica.
