Admittedly, and no clubs gets it right every time. We had a midfield signing there at the Turf, deal all but done, the week before Marney's injury. That one you didn't mention.

Lansbury was, admittedly, two windows. Bryson came and went very early.

but despite our transfer policy having so many flaws, in your opinion, you might want to note that it has taken us, under Dyche, from a team threatened with relegation to League One to a team about to go into Europe. Not much wrong there for me.

While I'd like us to tap into the foreign market more it's hard to argue against our current transfer policy given the year on year improvement on the pitch over the past 5 years or so. No panic from me just yet, I'd prefer earlier signings and I'm sure Dyche would but when we're a ''stubborn club'' it's not going to happen and sometimes its better to be stubborn.

Almost sure the transfer window closes early and closes before the PL season starts.

That would mean zero signings, given the new rules

Our season starts on 26th July, transfer window closes 9th August (5pm), Premier season starts 10th or 11th August depending whether there is a Friday game.

Nixon gets fed things by agents so part of his job is just sitting eating deep fried mars bars and sitting on his arse. Then he can poach things from other journalists and folk on Twitter also feed him stuff
No wonder he “ gets some right”

A reported £12m. We know he’s worth more than that and, in the end, Dawson signs the contract.

I'm another that thinks Nixon hasn't had an 'in' at the club since Coyle left. His reputation lasted for quite a long time after that based on history but these days he really just collates rumors, alludes to something vague, and people give him credit for getting one right every now and then.

He gets everything correct, not just ''one right every now and then''.

Assuming , Barnes, Brady, Defour, Tarks, JBG,etc will all be fully fit and up to the standard they were at pre injuries. Then we need as a minimum 1 x Centre Back, 1 x Wide Midfield, 1 x Striker.
Sadly West Brom are the worst club in the world to do business with but obviously JRod and Dawson would fill 2 of our gaps. If we get them and a quality wide player then we will have had a good summer. But the clock is ticking !!!!

Yeah probably now about moving people out and getting in quality not quantity, we have far too many strikers and probably short on quality. I think we need a right back to push Lowton and get Bardsley out on a free transfer to League One. With Arfield and GK gone we obviously need a wide player, how is Brady getting on? not seen any update. Someone to operate behind a striker in the 4411 formation would be ideal because Jeff isn't suited to the attacking role. I expected a pretty active window from us, slow on news so far but it should pick up next week or so.
