Motson to Talksport
Motson to Talksport
Can he just not retire gracefully? Or is it a match made in heaven? Luckily I don't listen to it !!

Not sure where I said I was worried?
Just posting a message on a message-board, strange I know.

He was appalling in his prime, he's absolutely impossible to listen to as he approached retirement.
So perfect for talksport!

I can't bare to listen to his voice
If he was ever doing a commentary on the highlights of a game I used to turn the sound off

The most overrated commentator ever. Perfectly suited for talksport.

So will he be handing back all the gifts he received from all the clubs during last season then, that everyone made such a fuss about?

Re: Motson to Talksport
There are a lot worse out there than Motty, even now. I think he went a few years too late, but those that have come in are nt in the same League when it comes to knowledge and background in the game. Motty has / had a library of football reference books.... including half a dozen on the Clarets (and that was in the 4th Division days.

If they replaced Jason Cundy with Motty he could say whatever he liked and it would be 1000% better.

I’d ask if he was the shouty, argumentative cockney, wouldn’t really narrow it down though.

Love talk sport, lot of sensationalist comments but makes good entertainment as long as it's taken lightly , great when stuck in a van all day with nobody to talk to about footie
Re: Motson to Talksport
Someone posted on here they asked him for a photo n a autograph with their child @ a recent home game when he was there n his response was I'm here to commentate on a match n snubbed the dad n lad. Bit of a arrogant/ignorant attitude me thinks..
Re: Motson to Talksport
Not as bad as Curtly Ambrose the ex West Indian fast bowler
Many years I went with my Son to watch Sussex play at Northampton
At the end of the days play a young lad went up to Ambrose and politely asked for his autograph
Curtley Ambrose's response was Get out of my way boy!
Ignorant sh1t
