How? show me one example of him doing that today. He was the reason we didn't concede 7 in what were terrible conditionsClaretAL wrote:My mate is a West Ham fan, and he said Hart tires to make every save look spectacular over the importance of stopping it, to the point as if he throws his body in the general direction, and closes his eyes.
I am seeing what he means...

No but we would have some amazing volcanic chocalate cakes and ice cream currys to eat after the gamesuperdimitri wrote:Don't agree at all with that sorry. Don't think we did any better with Pope than we would have with Heston.

Re: Heaton
Not sure what people think Hart or anyone else could really have done with pretty much all of the goals we have conceded so far. As for today there were at least two in front of him whose performances were much more worrying.
Lowotn looked so bad I actually was hoping for Bardsley to play instead and Tarks seemed more bothered about trying to get someone to hit him than anything else.

Re: Heaton
I would agree some of comments particular on Tarks, he lost plot last week in last ten against Watford, him and Ben seem not as close as previous, can’t help thinking team harmony make is not just as good?
Re: Heaton
Back to basics and that means Heaton, Lowton, Tarky, Mee and Ward when all fit.
The issue is still the midfield though. They offer no protection. Arfield would walk into this team at the moment... so would Boyd to be honest. We need to remember what made us successful. Namely, our framework.
Lennon simply isn't a Dyche player. We can't accommodate a player like him. If you're not in the game going forward you have to nullify your opponent by being defensively sound. That's what made Boyd and Arfield so effective. They knew their job. JBG buys into it but he looks like he's struggling from a WC hangover to me.
We suddenly look very powder puff and that's not something you've ever been able to say about a Dyche team. Wood doesn't offer enough as a first line of defence and the midfield, Cork aside, doesn't offer enough cover for the back 4.
It's worrying, that's for sure, and it needs to be addressed.

Re: Heaton
Most fans n teams see Hart - and consequently us - as a joke
As a result - Fulham had a shoot on sight policy which worked well for them

Re: Heaton
Hart's positioning is consistently poor. On that last Fulham goal, he got back to his feet and stayed in the centre of the goal. There was only one spot the next shot was going, and he failed to see it. Goalkeeping is 90% mental.

Hart is too much of a showboat. That's because he lacks fundamentals.

Re: Heaton
Tbh not sure what Hart was doing for the 2nd goal.
He dived across with arms spread but I’m not sure he can’t just go forwards to the ball and be braver at Mitrovic who was basically stood 2 yards away from him.

I would start Tom and if he keeps us in Europe he keeps the gloves.Joe did pull off a string of saves. Our powderpuff non tracking or tackling midfield let us down again.

Re: Heaton
Fully agree with this summing up, the ball was there for Hart to claim for the second goal as everyone could see, clearly he was too weak, too slow, and not at all confident, I was all for signing him it was a no brainer for me given the problems in the gk dept, but he's been thrown in at the deep end, should have spent some time with our proven coaching staff, all this along with swaps and changes in defence has completely unsettled us, let's get Heaton please Sean and restore a back 5 that are used to each other, yes we need to make subs but this first 11 should not be knackered at this stage of the season, Europa league or no Europa league.BensMee wrote:Goals 2&3 today would expect Pope would have dealt with, Heaton not sure although his general communication/ confidence with back four I think would have been better. Hart is clearly a top class keeper but... his communication with defence is poor and I honestly believe Heaton is the better option until Pope is fit.
