I've had man flu all weekend and still feel sh*t, so I won't be making the journey. I have high hopes for a Burnley win and 3 desperately needed points.
2, 1 for me

Head says 1-1. But Newcastle definitely not better than us. Heart says should be an easy 3 points. UTC.

If Dyche sets his stall out like he did against Huddersfield we will get beat 1-2. I hope he goes 4-5-1 and Lets the shackles of likes of Taylor and Brady, to get forward and be creative at every opportunity.
If we are to stay in this league we just have to beat the likes of Newcastle at home, if not we are going down

Not confident at all. We need 6 points from the next 4 just to stay on course for a point per game. We could do with 3 tonight. However, I can't see past a defeat, probably 1 nil Newcastle.

We need to get at them from the off not allowing them to settle
Get in their faces and keep a high tempo
If we let Shelvey boss the midfield we are in for a long week UTC

1-1 is all I can realistically see with two teams both playing not to lose rather than to win.
If we can win this one though, we might, just might, sneak a point at Selhurst Park on Saturday. Lose and I fear another defeat will follow and then it's swimming in petrol time.

1-1
Big litmus test for Dyche tonight. If he can't sort the team out after a lengthy international break against a weak Newcastle then something is very wrong.

At present i can't see where our next win is coming from. Hopefully a draw, 4-4 would be so much better than 0-0

A newcastle win. As for the score, will go 2-0 Newcastle. I hope SD instructs our players to press them.

0-0 two boring teams and two managers who like clean sheets and a stalemate to make first world war generals proud.

I'll take a nervous 1-0, however I think it'll be a bore draw.
Just got to hope we start bright, and go for it from the off, set up for a clean sheet 1-0 win, and it'll be our downfall Imo.
Newcastle will want to replicate how we used to go about our business away from home.
An early goal for us and we could blow off the cobwebs of recent weeks, and hit 2 or 3.

I'm very nervous about this game tonight. Watching the games over the weekend you do start to wonder if we are PL standard anymore as there have been some very good performances from teams in and around us. Fingers crossed we can show our stuff tonight and look like we are starting to get back to what we are about. Our so-called better players need to perform and produce some real quality if we are going to get anything out of this game.
This was a very tight game last season which we won 1-0. I'm going for a 0-0 this year.

given we are struggling for clean sheets other than last time out am going for 2 - 1 to Burnley.
Brady has had more game time plus a few others that needed it so am looking for an improved forward line performance with midfield pushing lot's of balls in to the box. First penalty for ever also tonight

Just seen on Sky Newcastle’s record on a Monday night is shocking, 1 win from 12.... hope that continues tonight. 1-0 Burnley but not expecting a classic

If Hendricks plays the number 10 role and Lennon also plays, I’ll go for a 1 or 2 nil Newcastle win. If we play with JBGand Brady plus Wood and Barnes or Vydra I will go for a Burnley win, 1 nil or 2:1.

Our stats look good against toon, we beat them here last season when both teams were in better form, they have lost 10 Monday night games so im very hopeful we can get a win, Lord knows we need one. we need to get at them straight from the off and not let them settle on the ball, force them to make mistakes and slam in a couple of first half goals, come on you clarets lets not loose this one.

Talking of a goals glut they have certainly given the live game tonight a big build up in The Metro (foot of page 63).
TELL ME WHY, I DON'T LIKE THIS MONDAY NIGHT TIE.
'If you had to choose the Premier League equivalent of golf's showdown at Shadow Creek between two huge names in Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson, it wouldn't be Burnley v Newcastle."
"Who in their right mind would pitch such a dull match in a prime slot like, oh, I don't know, Monday Night Football".
I hope that some of the posters on here are correct in predicting plenty of goals and a Claret victory.

Head says 0-1
However, despite not playing Vokes with Vydra or Barnes with Wood, and because I’ve been stuck in London with work so my season ticket is going unused, my heart says 3-1!!!
