Maybe we should try Dyche himself in goal because he's the most qualified person at the club when it comes to stopping shots on goal.

Re: Joe Hart
Positives: good reflex saves, looks confident and is competent at one-on-ones.
Negatives: suspect in the air from long range, punches when he can catch, doesn’t command his area and doesn’t anticipate. also doesn’t organise his defence (too nice)
Verdict: more negatives than positives - time for the Manager to make a difficult decision.

Just an opinion - I’ve never seen him dish out a b@llocking when there’s clearly a need to and he seems more intent on amusing the opposition fans when they’re behind his goal.joey13 wrote:Has anyone ever said Joe Hart is too nice

Up to now player of the season.
If we're looking to slate a player how about Jack Cork? He's been shocking this season.

Re: Joe Hart
It’s a bit of a moot point because there are far bigger problems at the club.
But... when it comes to a choice between Hart and Heaton, what is it that Hart is better at for people to be so adamant he should keep his place after conceding so many goals?

Re: Joe Hart
It has nothing to do with him being player of the season (which I would agree with)...
Our team spirit has evaporated with the purchase of a player on a bigger wage etc and at the detriment of our club captain.
The defence is the biggest problem and he is one fifth of that

Re: Joe Hart
Being old enough to have watched the team from the mid seventies...from Adamson and Potts, through some rather unforgettable managerial appointments and some down right disastrous, from the old First Division, to the depths of despair of the Fourth Division and now to the 'Promised Land' of the Premiership, such a quote is as ill thought out as it is possible to get.ksrclaret wrote:The problem is Dyche should never have been appointed (as good as he's been)
Without the appointment of Dyche the best we could otherwise have hoped for is Championship football and hoping for the safety of 40 points by May end. This was how Clarets fans measured success pre Dyche.
Sack the man? Be careful what you wish for.

Re: Joe Hart
OK, I've only seen Joe "close up" at Southampton, West Ham and Crystal Palace. No, he's not been "brilliant" - yes, some great saves, but also some mistakes in him. I'm waiting for motd to see what he should have done with Palace's first today. It was a very soft goal to concede. Too many occasions, Joe punches and the ball is still in the danger area - just like he did for West Ham last season.Top Claret wrote:Hast has been brilliant this season how anyone can blame him for our present predicament is beyond me
On the other hand (and it sometimes looks as though Joe has attempted to save with his "wrong" hand), the guy next to me today says that Tom Heaton isn't back to his best for his injury...… I'm not able to judge on that.
Keepers will all get sorted out in Jan, if Nick Pope is back and available for selection then.

Re: Joe Hart
One thing I've noticed in watching the MOTD highlights back is that Hart doesn't say anything to his defence after being forced into a save. Usually keepers give their defence a bollocking to remind them of their jobs - Hart literally doesn't open his mouth.
I do think Hart had a good game and he's a good shot stopper but I think the communication is lacking there. Just to emphasise, this is not on him. However, there is perhaps a problem there as he seems to be playing as a one man team.

This hate for our best player this season is absolutely bonkers. An inspired signing that has saved us from some even more horrific score lines.
I know people are looking to find blame for our dire situation, but blaming the one shining light is nuts.

Re: Joe Hart
Without Hart it would have been a cricket score and not just in the Palace game. However, I do feel his signing has contributed to our awful downturn. Dressing room spirit has taken a massive hit by the looks of things. Something is very wrong. The players lack heart, will and desire. We would be easily Beaten by teams several leagues below us playing as we are. Depressing stuff. Dyche and his team seem totally unfazed as we head towards the Championship at an alarming rate of knots.

Re: Joe Hart
Something is very wrong however apart from the weird UTC conspiracy theory and conjecture there is actually nothing to suggest Hart has contributed to our awful downturn. Personally I think the centre midfield has contributed to our awful downturn, pick a player out of there for your scapegoat, say Cork, oh no we couldn't turn on Jack as he was on loan in 2010.Longsidebogs wrote:Without Hart it would have been a cricket score and not just in the Palace game. Re: Joe Hart
Joe Hart is not the reason our midfield can't pass a ball for ****, or the reason our entire team part straight down the middle.

Re: Joe Hart
We didn't replace our fighting spirit, both dressing room and on the pitch. We don't have any midfielders that like the dirty part of the job... Barton, Marney, Arfield..... all would run through a brick wall for the team, all worked for the team.... none have been replaced.

Now you mention it, there could be a link here. It's not just coincidence that the delays started just after his arrival. I've heard the workmen lost confidence in the job, started to be badly organised and need more shouting behind them. I might ring Robbie Savage up next week to see what he thinks.Steve1956 wrote:All this Joe Hart to blame for our current troubles is getting ridiculous .....the only thing he hasn't been blamed for since he arrived at our club is the delay in the building of the new disabled stands.....numpties the fecking lot of ya!

Re: Joe Hart
Joe Hart has literally been our best player this season and yet his arrival is being heralded as wrecking the spirit of the dressing room.....why?
If the current incumbent millionaire snowflakes can't handle a player earning more money than them then i would suggest they are probably in the wrong sport.
If players were paid based on performances then Hart is streets ahead this season and has more than justified his wage. It's the rest of the whinging pricks that need to sort their own performances out.

Joe Hart has been suoerb but a fit Pope ,master of the clean sheets needs to be first choice when fit
Nick is better at taking crosses ,no silly punching here ,which is Joe's Achillies

Re: Joe Hart
I think that we can all understand if Tom is a little pi**ed off at not getting back into the team once he was fit again. However, it would have been a really hard call to justify dropping Hart just to get Tom back in to placate him. To me the problem/dilemma that the manager has got is that once Pope is fit we will have 3 class keepers and 1 of them will probably have to go. As we've only just signed Hart I wouldn't think that it will be him. Long term Pope is probably the best keeper to retain rather than Heaton, so even if Hart was dropped now and Tom put back in he would likely then have to be dropped once Pope is fit and that would probably then pi** him off even more than he is now. To sum up - Hart retains his place until Pope is fit and then Tom will regrettably move on. Hope all that makes sense! UTC

Re: Joe Hart
Another negative for me is that he's positioning is very poor, he makes good saves but the law of averages says he will considering he's facing so many shots on target "partly due to his defence giving him very little protection atm" but positioning was something both Heaton and pope were very good at, bring Heaton back please !!!IWOODLOVETT wrote:Positives: good reflex saves, looks confident and is competent at one-on-ones.

Is it me or are there a lot more goalkeeping experts on here this season?
It's like they've been on an elite goalkeeper coaching course over the summer.
