Stanley v Sunderland
Half the ground given over to the away support. (2,600) Record crowd, no doubt.
Hope they can cope....

Re: Stanley v Sunderland
And still can't come close to getting them all in. Occasionally there is a league fixture that crops up that really, given the size of the two clubs, shouldn't really happen. Accrington v Sunderland is one of them, a bit like Macclesfield v Man City 20 years ago.ElectroClaret wrote:Half the ground given over to the away support. (2,600) Record crowd, no doubt.

Think Stanley's pitch is greatly improved now.
Should imagine it'll go ahead, unless there's a complete deluge.

It's great for Stanley. 5400 sold out. Our game was around 2800 in the league cup.
The towns cricket clubs seem to be benefiting from the bigger away crowds in league one. As well as Clitheroe CC who are welcoming the coaches that have to park 10 miles away.

Just spoken to my mate and he's at Clitheroe CC. Knowing him and his mates, there won't be much drink left by the time they leave.Quickenthetempo wrote:It's great for Stanley. 5400 sold out. Our game was around 2800 in the league cup.

R/Lancs saying the ref gives the go ahead for the game, with the caveat that if it rains heavy, it'll have to be reviewed. Some standing water on the pitch.
