And I hope these scores count. Reason being, if you can’t nail down a cast iron penalty like the shout we had, you should have NO points at all, especially when Stevie wonder could see it was definitely a pen. No excuses for the ref. **** poor.

I don't do the Ref ratings.
Rarely even comment on them.
Today was just about the poorest exhibition of reffing a game I've seen on the Turf in years.
That's taking into account the pen we eventually got at the end.

Another d!ckhead ref who's simply not up to the required standard. He usually is really poor on a game by game basis, but that today was a new level of sh!te. No doubt he will be rewarded for his utter ineptness with a high profile game next weekend

Set his stall out early doors by not booking Slattery for a desperately poor challenge and didn’t improve. Not even in the same hemisphere as the required standard and seemingly really arrogant with it.

D. 5 - quite how their keeper wasn’t booked for time wasting will remain one of life’s great mysteries.

Certainly true but the linesman / assistant was far better positioned and much nearer and apparently didn't see it either. If the linesman can't spot that from his angle and position then it makes you wonder how he can possibly call a close offside decision.

Total shite another blatant penalty turned down
Ash was taken out by the keeper who in turn should have been red carded.
Two points lost in a must win game.
It got worse later when Bournemouth chocked at Cardiff.

The challenge early doors, that he just gave the player a talking to for, reminded me of the Championship Season, where every Team’s resident dickhead would put a late one in on Barton, and the Ref would let them off.
This Ref set the tone with that and didn’t get any better.
The Barnes incident has to be the utter nadir of awful decisions at the Turf. A stonewall penalty waved away and compounded by sh1thouse of a yellow card.
If the Ref is man enough he should, upon seeing the replay, call Barnes personally and apologise. As a decision it stunk on so many levels.

I’ve kept an eye on him since that dreadful performance at Swansea, where Llorente climbed all over Ben Mee to head an injury time winner. Then it turned out he was just off the plane from his stag in Vegas. I still think he reffed p1ssed.
He is undoubtedly the worst of the current very poor bunch of refs.
How he didn’t book Slattery for wiping out Taylor I’ll never understand to follow this up by booking Bardsley for a tiny tap on the ankle exaggerates the bias. The pen decision is a close call but to book Barnes for diving was ludicrous and he had the perfect position.

That first half was disgusting. That opening 45 minutes was one of the worst refereeing displays I’ve seen on the Turf.
Do you remember the one where he let a blatant Soton foul go unpunished and then returned the favour to us immediately after? 2 blatantly incorrect decisions in less than 3 seconds.
I’d be questioning myself if I ever did my job as ineptly as he did today.

I’m trying to work out at what minute into the game referees are allowed to book players for wild, reckless challenges. I think it’s somewhere around the 25-30 minute mark but I’d like to know exactly when that rule comes into play.

Their lad should have been booked for an awful tackle on Taylor.
Bardsley is booked for his first foul.
Barnes should have had a penalty.
Barnes should not have been booked.
He missed several blatant pushes in the back on both Barnes and Wood.
Hendrick is wrestled off the ball near the JH stand and he gives nothing. Immeadiately afterwards he gives Southampton a free-kick for something similar, but not as obvious.
That was just the first half and I’ve probably forgotten a few examples of his ineptitude.

Taylor was undoubtedly poor today. One thing I couldn't grasp was the length of time he allowed their keeper to hold the ball before kicking from hand. 6 seconds I believe the laws state. On numerous occasions today he took over 10. Despite this being pointed out to him, mainly by Barnes, he chose to do nothing. When was it decreed acceptable for the ref to choose which laws he implements, and those to ignore?

That was the other thing...4 mins of injury time?
The subs and goal alone should been 3.5 mins, before you get on to McCarthy taking 30 seconds to take every goal kick.
We had 5 mins at Old Trafford on Tuesday for fewer stoppages.

I think he will be told by the assessor that had he booked their player after the foul on our lad (was it Charlie) after the Ings miss (Toms save) in the fist half that would have set the tone for the rest of the game, by not doing that it allowed numerous niggles. He needs markng down.

Genuinely think he is a United fan still jaded from Barnes on Tuesday with him being from South Manchester. Saw his opportunity to get some revenge for him bullying United all evening.

That will be the one where Vestergaard had lost control of the ball..not sure who our player was but as he was trying to retrieve it Vestergaard uses his body to ease our player away and seconds later he gave them a free kick for something and nothing. It was poor decision after poor decision and as many have said the failure to book Slattery for being later than a Northern rail train on Taylor set the tone.

That was another incident (there were that many!). I'm referring to the one next to the Bob Lord stand where he first missed a blatant foul on one of our players and then about 2 seconds later missed another blatant one on one of their players resulting in us winning back possession.
The Vestergaard one in front of the JML was shambolic. They don't get more obvious yet the challenge went unpunished.
