23 points after 17 matches isn't exactly the stuff of dreams in the PL is it?

We were far, far better last season!

Everyone goes on about Tarka's car on here .......
You should have seen the Blinged up Bentley with Monaco plates being driven by Pogba's two 8' tall brothers parked in the JHU car park when we played them back in September.....

As many José fans have pointed out - the Manchester United manager job is a poisoned chalice. Despite the vast wealth and huge global fanbase, even the best managers have struggled. For example, even the great Sir Alex Ferguson could only hold the job for 26 years.

Pity really I was enjoying the farce at Old Trafford. Fact is they let Fergusin rule for too long and now they dont know what to do. They are a fair way behind the too two now.

The Moyes appointment was an attempt at continuity after Fergie but since binning him they've lost the plot in desperation. The amount of money they've thrown at it is insane. Mourinho's done at that level, he's been buying good, expensive players and making them worse.
They'll improve now he's gone.
I can't see MoPo going to United, if he finishes this season well he'll probably get the Real Madrid job, leaving Spurs with no bitterness towards him, easier job than United.
They should go for Jardim, ex-Monaco. Pragmatic, out of work, excellent at developing young players, low risk till end of season.

What is an interim manager supposed to do in the January transfer window?

Not spend anything. Think that's the whole point tbh.

It's very possible, that one of the reasons they sacked Mourinho is to save money in January, by not buying anybody. £100 million on transfer fees for players they weren't keen on, vs £24 million to sack him.

No doubt protecting their share price - it’s gone up since they sacked him.
Little point spending loads in January - the season is already over for them

Another one that's agreed a deal with the Spanish tax authorities to avoid jail time.

Not a massive surprise to see that low life Jose dodging tax is it ?
I love that Spanish legal system
Avoid tax
Get caught
Go to court
Get a prison sentence less than the term that anybody ever serves
Pay tax and walk away with smile on smarmy face.

In the Uk we have another term for it - tax deferral - we just miss out all the unnecessary bits in the middle !

Don't disagree with you there - I saw his "boat" (ship !) roll into Monaco last year....there are few more despicable people I can think of than Green.

That said...Mourinho still classifies as a low life to me...he`s earned £20m / £30m a year for the last decade but still that's not enough for him to pay the tax he should....I know there are a lot of them also at it but they are all low lifes in my book....just some lower than others !

Does any sports star pay Tax in Spain?

Seems like there is absolutely no deterrent in not doing so.
