Re: Chelsea versus MIGHTY CLARETS
I may be wrong, but I think (apart from cup games) "Vydra gets his chance" in games where we're likely to struggle and be up against it, not in games where we should necessarily be targeting a win. I'm wondering if there's a pattern there. Maybe.

Well, we did it a couple of seasons back. Why not again?

Re: Chelsea versus MIGHTY CLARETS
Probably all our fans do but you've got to be realistic. We play to our strengths, which isn't playing 25 passes to make 25yards progress up the pitch. Nothing wrong with playing direct football. Anyway, hope that you enjoy the game and that Brady plays well. UTCGordaleman wrote: ↑Sun Jan 31, 2021 11:47 amI just want to see us play a bit more attractive football.

Most probably agree that we need to upgrade our right hand side and that Brady hasn’t been great. From what they’ve both contributed of late (and injuries haven’t helped either) you could probably toss a coin to decide who will start and there will be much of a muchness in what they deliver.Gordaleman wrote: ↑Sun Jan 31, 2021 11:49 amDon't like cats, but I'm more likely to adopt a dozen than Brady is to score three.

You just said you wished Brady was injured how is that getting behind your team?Gordaleman wrote: ↑Sun Jan 31, 2021 11:52 amYou can't be talking about me. I'm very much behind the team today and if Wood and Brady play well, I'll be delighted.

You've hit the nail on the head. A coin toss. I tend to lean toward JBG. Disgraceful wishing Brady was injured.DCWat wrote: ↑Sun Jan 31, 2021 11:56 amMost probably agree that we need to upgrade our right hand side and that Brady hasn’t been great. Think Corky will want to play against Man City, so hopefully he'll have a really good game today. He could make the difference today.

Re: Chelsea versus MIGHTY CLARETS
Shame they're going to be disappointed then isn't it, TBH I couldn't care less what the fans of other clubs want, and yes I'm sure many do want us relegated, mainly because we keep taking points off them, of course they're going to be upset, but that's just tough. and by now you'd think people would be used to us upsetting the odds every so often, it's what we've been doing for the last 5 seasons after all.Gordaleman wrote: ↑Sun Jan 31, 2021 11:42 amAs Alan Pace said: I'd like us to be everyone's elses favorite underdog. At the moment, most fans of other clubs want us relegated.

Re: Chelsea versus MIGHTY CLARETS
Strange then that those same fans don't seem to want the top six relegated, as I'm sure they beat teams more often than us. It's not about our results, it's about our style of football. I just want that to evolve into something more attractive.tiger76 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 31, 2021 12:03 pmShame they're going to be disappointed then isn't it, TBH I couldn't care less what the fans of other clubs want, and yes I'm sure many do want us relegated, mainly because we keep taking points off them, of course they're going to be upset, but that's just tough. and by now you'd think people would be used to us upsetting the odds every so often, it's what we've been doing for the last 5 seasons after all.
Re: Chelsea versus MIGHTY CLARETS
Looks to be a mixture of tactics and fitness management with Robbie and Joey. SD may think at present they are best used for 45 minutes each and first half we are more defensive. So Robbie plays first half and Joey comes on second half when we are going for the win.

Good start. Not showing too much respect for Chelsea who may not be up for the physical challenge.

Fed up of the buying foul crap, first Wood, now Mount. No honesty anymore. Officials just shouldn't give em.

Anyway back to the game, and we've made a decent start here. Cork is making a marked difference already.

McNeil needs to get his head down. Twice he's given it away making pointless headers

I disagree. Been more involved than early on in recent games. Looking more active and to link up play. Chelsea beginning to get on top though.

Oliver apparently in charge of VAR today. Not sure that will help us.
Re: Chelsea versus MIGHTY CLARETS
Good pressing when they are trying to play out from the back. Might force a mistake. Sound tactics by Dyche.
