I used to live in Mytholmroyd, the poor man’s Hebden Bridge. It wasn’t too bad.

Barrowford is great..maybe too nearby for the OP's purposes but easy, walkable, access to Pendleside (no need to worry about parking in Barley) and right next to the M65

If selrap ever gets the approval & funding he’d get the rail link the old line cuts through earby.
