Re: Academy coaches
Blakesboots isn’t Alan Pace, nor does he claim to be.
I have a hunch that he might be an American by some of his mannerisms and spellings, though.

Re: Academy coaches
I can't really keep up with this thread, but has there been any corroboration of the safeguarding claim? It would be really disappointing if we have failed on this; a) because it is so important to get right and b) because it's so easy to get right.
Re: Academy coaches
I'd take the hyperbolic posts saying we've been downgraded with a pinch of salt. From an article today:
"The case is due to go before the Professional Game Academy Audit Company (PGAAC) Board and then, potentially, before the Professional Game Board, which will act as a final arbiter. "
There clearly is an issue but, unlike Birmingham, it's not definitive

The latest update on this from TrainingGroundGuru (a very well respected twitter feed)
Privately Burnley are confident they will retain Cat 1 status for their Academy.
Failed the initial audit but believe issues (around staffing mainly) now sorted/ were result of Covid.
Goes before Professional Game Board this week

Really hope this is the case and another much needed bit of positive news if true.aggi wrote: ↑Tue Jun 14, 2022 12:31 pmThe latest update on this from TrainingGroundGuru (a very well respected twitter feed)

Re: Academy coaches
Steady Aggi, Blakesboots will be on soon enough to tell you it's dangerous to talk about the academy...
Hopefully TrainingGroundGuru is correct though

Re: Academy coaches
What is Alan Pace doing??? Sorting out issues quietly behind the scenes instead of tweeting us every five mins telling us what may or may not be happening and what issues we have and the several things we are looking at doing to solve.

Re: Academy coaches
I wonder if we will be hearing from Blakesboots any time soon on this latest piece of extremely bad news if what we are reading is correct.....
Re: Academy coaches
No disrespect to Blakesboots but I'd rather like to hear something on this from the Club.Herts Clarets wrote: ↑Wed Jun 22, 2022 11:57 amI wonder if we will be hearing from Blakesboots any time soon on this latest piece of extremely bad news if what we are reading is correct.....

Re: Academy coaches
It isn't that long ago that they commented at length on it (and obviously some people complained about that as well).
Re: Academy coaches
Don't know about that. But yeah, whatever they do there'll be complaints! It's the Burnley way!
