Re: Today's Football
True, but the other two have played a more mixed bag of fixtures than us. Four of our five games have been against sides that may well end up in the top 8, if not top 6.
Re: Today's Football
Only not given cos they are 3 up
Re: Today's Football
Ok, they lose by 6 goals thenlakedistrictclaret wrote: ↑Sun Sep 24, 2023 5:19 pmI think they have to lose by six.
If they only lose by five they'd still be above us on goals scored.

Re: Today's Football
In open play, the gaps between Sheffield United's forward- midfield-defence are massive, very similar to us in the early games.
Top teams will find this space all day long and punish you.

Warnocks available
Re: Today's Football
Gordon has been superb
Re: Today's Football
For a more defensive minded team, Sheff’s defence has looked way worse than ours today. They’ve been horrendous.

Two massive games coming up for Sheffield United, both away at West Ham and Fulham.
They are followed by Man Utd (home) and Arsenal (away).

Re: Today's Football
We shouldn't really compare ourselves until we play them, but our football is light years ahead of Sheffield.
I've seen positives in every game this season, and improvement every game, but they look dross.
Not surprised there ate so many empty seats already.

They are clearly a strong side and it’ll be a struggle, but Sheff U have been dreadful.Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Sun Sep 24, 2023 6:03 pmanyone else not looking forward to playing Newcastle ? lol

Lots of lols. I mean we’ll probably get pumped next weekend but this is like when a PL side goes to a National League side in the FA cup.

I’m holding onto the hope they don’t rest many against City on Wednesday, while also having another eye on PSG a few days later.Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Sun Sep 24, 2023 6:03 pmanyone else not looking forward to playing Newcastle ? lol
Oh and the fact we’ve been playing pretty well in the past couple!

Our display last night would have easily disposed of them.

Seven different scorers. Can’t happen often.
Re: Today's Football
They should really have been battered by Man City as well. City missed loads of what they would call sitters. What's happened to their strong defence?

Re: Today's Football
I wouldn’t be so sure. We look a better footballing side than them, like we did last season, but they still gave us two very tough games last season (the sending off aided us hugely at home). There won’t be much between the teams come the end of the season and I’m expecting two very tough games against them.ElectroClaret wrote: ↑Sun Sep 24, 2023 6:05 pmYes.

Difficult to compare us given how different our football is but I suspect there won’t be much between us.Rileybobs wrote: ↑Sun Sep 24, 2023 6:08 pmI wouldn’t be so sure. Wonder if the correct amount of time will be added on or whether the officials will make their own rules up.
Re: Today's Football
Well I’m glad Isak bagged as I’m not sure I’d have dealt well with seeing him get 1 point in my FPL in a 7-0 game
