No chance. We are too soft, and don't have enough fight.
Couldn’t agree with you more, when was the last time we lost and we came away thinking that we’d put up a battling performance ,we’re as weak as gnat’s pee.

I never thought i'd be saying that about a Burnley team.

Well we didn’t lose but two weeks ago at Brighton?

I can live with a defeat,my goodness I've witnessed enough of them in my 55 plus years going on the Turf, but if there is effort, endeavour and commitment in the loss I'll accept talent beat us in the end, even in the dark days, but this bunch of £100 million plus,so called talented first touch is amazing, highly paid, highly pampered, over coached, lightweight, pampered bunch of namby pamby tarts have as much aggression and fight as the Turf Moor catering director would have in the Rossendale gravy wrestling competition if all the holds and throws weren't on a touch screen.
Beers kicking in 😁

And were Blades not battered for most of that game? Yet they’re being lauded for being solid and showing some fight whereas we did something similar and it’s dismissed. Don’t get me wrong, we’ve not shown enough, Everton last week in particular.

9 mins...

From where?
3 minutes for the disallowed goal, about a minute each for the other two VARs (handball and elbow), 1.5 minutes for the goal, and 7 subs.

Tremendous performance by Sheff Utd. I never knew they had that in their locker, but Villa after about 18 consecutive home wins were made to look very ordinary.I guess thats the impact of a new manager who has got them battling, fighting and covering each other and fighting for their lives. Its a great quality to have and I am sure I speak on behalf of their fans by saying you can live with relegation when you put performances in like that. I thought Archer put in a superb performance, making a good Villa defence look very static

Totally agree.

No shame in going down if you fight and make a good go of it.

Archer signing makes Ramsey/Amdouni look a bit silly doesn’t it. Absolutely the type of player we’re missing from the side

Tbf Newclaret the comparisons are not even remotely similar

Villa 12 shots, Sheffield 5

Brighton 29 shots, Burnley 5

Brighton destroyed us and should have won by 3 or 4 if it wasn’t for some remarkable keeping. Sheffield we’re competing for the most part.

I seem to recall that when VK joined us there was talk of getting Cameron Archer on loan

So we showed more stoicism and fight then? Good to know.
