Re: James Trafford
The anti Trafford threads seem to attract the halfwits more than any other.
He’s not poor or more accident prone than other keepers or just here because no one wanted him.
He’s our keeper - let’s support him.

Re: James Trafford
Just like most social media, it thrives on devision of opinion.
He is still developing but he is still 2 years younger than Pickford was before he played for Everton.
Not sure what purpose these threads play at times - yes we should be able to comment on an individual performance, but it just goes well beyond that into full character assisination.
Support the guy - he will get better and he is already at a very decent standard for this level of football

You really are the excuse that Stan the man made for youngsters not coming through at Burnley, basically they'd be slaughtered to death!

I can remember several keepers we’ve had who made plenty of mistakes and fans loved them. Don’t know why Trafford is so hated having made less mistakes.

It is worth noting that this did not start as an anti Trafford thread. Read the OP again.LincsWoldsClaret wrote: ↑Mon Sep 02, 2024 9:52 pmThe anti Trafford threads seem to attract the halfwits more than any other.

I think trolls attempt to ambush threads like these and I think genuine posters would be better advised to spot who they are than react

It most definitely was not. Done with the best intentions but I guess always liable to be derailed.

That much is clear. I think you were right in starting it. It hasn’t sunk in yet with some people that’s all.boatshed bill wrote: ↑Tue Sep 03, 2024 7:34 pmI was genuinely hoping people would get on the lad's side, rather than on his case. Nevermind.
TBH I'd like this thread closed now.

Re: James Trafford
Greediness from Pace, the offer of £16m was more than adequate, whos to say that value will drop over the next season. We are going to sacrifice another season trying to make him into a no.1 and a profit on one player.

Minimum needs to be £20 million or we might as well not bother signing young players with potential to flip for a profit
We’d make pretty much nothing at 16 million I suspect

He is our No1, the other 2 are not as good. Would you prefer we played one of them?

We shouldn’t have bothered buying him he got dropped too late for us to stay up because of Kompany being stubborn.GodIsADeeJay81 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 03, 2024 7:54 pmExcept it wasn’t enough at £16 million

We’re not going to see a profit on him, the longer he stays the less money they will make on him, that’s my prediction. Happy to be proved wrong.
Pace needs to stick to share dealing, he’s crap at football.

Re: James Trafford
I wasn’t in the muric camp massively last season but now muric has gone and Trafford is clearly the number one and let’s not kid ourselves, Trafford is a better keeper than hladky, he gets my backing.
He flapped at one against Luton and had a lazy clearance at the weekend but overall in the 3 games he’s played he’s been comfortable.
Nobody can question that Trafford wants to be here either, he ran the full length of the pitch for the 4 goal at Luton to celebrate and he also ran full length of the pitch at the weekend to try and help position the Burnley all in the way of rovers keeper as must as possible.

Re: James Trafford
What a load of nonsense. If Trafford has a good season he’ll go for £30m. Man City have a £42m buy back. That’s not for no reason.Superjohnnyfrancis wrote: ↑Tue Sep 03, 2024 7:58 pmWe shouldn’t have bothered buying him he got dropped too late for us to stay up because of Kompany being stubborn.

Re: James Trafford
The Muric lovers are never boring are they with the constant anti Trafford stuff.
The notion we went down because of Trafford is as dumb now as it was last season, but at least they are consistent.
