Our mostly B team is comfortably handling their mostly A team. That’s a good sign for if we get promoted.

This is the problem, playing CJER in a game like this.
There was no need.

Shelvey nowhere near match fit yet. I'd give him a few games.

“You’re getting mauled by the tigers” from Hull fans takes some beating.
It does, it really does.
But ours is mundane and boring. Can we not just let it go.

Soton guy no chance of getting the ball, throws himself down, free kick.
Joke.
But loads of players falling, as mentioned.

A good cup tie half against a premier league team that appear as though they fancy a cup run to bring some cheer against a rotten league campaign.

Need to take one or two defenders off and go for it. Far too defensive that half.

Benny looks rusty but he was always better coming on as a sub in fairness, not got the engine or mettle for a 70 minute performance. Great to see him chasing the ball and getting his fitness up though as he can offer us a lot from the bench in the run in.

There are actually only two positions between us in the league tables
They are certain to be relegated as we would most likely be if we actually went up

Thought we played well enough there, given 8 changes, and two players starting without much game time for a while.
Some interesting subs available today, surely Edwards for Benson will be one of the first…

Hannibal next to Cullen for me every day of the week, he’s been everywhere that half, it’s just a shame he gets targetted because teams know he loses his head. Also his reputation means he doesn’t get chances either with the refs.
Hannibal’s best position based on that half is deeper

He not running back to pick up passes out from the back like Cullen does ,looks drastically off the pace with his fitness, and that’s not the Saints first team.
