It's a shame both are on loan, but I'm very confident in our scouting/signings, so I'm not at all worried. Beyer is apparently signing on a perm, if we go up.

Top of the pile for now, come on Watford.
Brilliant 1st half today and 2nd half we coasted to the points.
Another clean sheet is also welcome.

Loans are important part of the game these days.
And what do you mean if we go up surely it's when we go up.

My first matchday thread and I make spelling mistake.
Swangsong…

Anyway, you get the drift and it was a successful one

Zaroury reminds me of Hazard in some ways. Silky on the ball and difficult to anticipate what he’s going to do. A great performance from him today.
I’m not saying he’s anywhere near Hazard’s top level by the way just to preempt the keyboard warriors on here, but there are similarities.

Only time in my life I've fallen off a barstool, was in Amsterdam, almost opposite the station, watching C Palace v Man utd in the FA Cup way back.
I so wanted Palace to win! Pretty sure Ian Wright was playing that game.![]()

Dont think City will sell us THB but reckon if we go up we'll get him for another season. I thought id read on here we have an option to buy Beyer if we go up but not sure if thats accurate. If we went up id def be happy with signing Beyer and keeping THB on loan

Would make sense to see if we could retain THB for another season if we went up, would be the next logical step in his development, getting PL experience.Devils_Advocate wrote: ↑Sat Oct 15, 2022 5:26 pmDont think City will sell us THB but reckon if we go up we'll get him for another season. Great game, great atmosphere.
That’s been our best football all season. Very direct and composed

Re: Brunlea vs Last swangsong match thread
Swansea got it badly wrong today and came to play , as a result we upped our pace and energy which is when we are at our best , if they had come with one up front and tried to play on the counter , they probably would have done better and we would have been a bit more lethargic I feel.
They prior to today where also 3rd in the lge on possession. Which i think you could see with there style, after 3 wins i think they were over confident and basically paid the price

Re: Brunlea vs Last swangsong match thread
FINAL THOUGHTS,
After watching a full match replay.
As I’ve banged on about early crosses it was so pleasing to see our first two goals come from exactly that. Get defenders on the back foot.
VK appeared to order Tella and Zaroury to stay chalk on heels, with Swans playing 3 at the back this dragged 2 of them wide causing them so many problems. Our pace out wide is scary.
If Brownhill is going to play as a number 10 he needs to start thinking like a CF at times. In the build up to the 4th goal Tella made a break and got his cross into the area, nobody there but Josh was level with him and jogging a burst into the box and he might have got onto it.
The ref took a lot of grief on the ref rating thread, mainly for the first 30mins. This was very harsh. The very early foul on Maatsen was a nothing, the defender had his foot on the ground when he made contact. FK was correct. The crowd wanting cards for a pull on Tella and another on Vitinho would have been harsh given this seasons decision to allow more to go, neither were shirt pulling just arm grapples. All 4 yellows were correct but I feel for the defender on the second one. Tella gets across him and in trying to get back he runs into him. Standard yellow but nothing he could do about it. His watch was broken, added 2mins at HT and we scored at 47m05s. One minute added at FT was ridiculous. It’s not his job to put Swans out of their misery. Tella injury, 5 separate substitutions, red card add up to at least 5 minutes for me.
Absolute top performance and I look forward to many more but this is football and we will have off days.
UTC.
